nah, I don't look Spanish at all. well maybe more of the northern side where them gaelic s live.
my brother spent 2-3 years over there and he is fluent. my spanish is up there with my bball and soccer takes tbh. but I did re-learn some stuff from hs quickly since they don't speak much English. he has a Columbian/Spanish girlfriend back there. He might return since he doesn't like the US much anymore, it's just too fast and violent according to him. I could live in either country if I could find work, but would hate to leave family and friends behind so probably just continue to visit.
That's cool. I have a few friends in Spain, it's a place I'd like to visit one of these days. My sister was in Madrid just a few months ago.

EDIT: is your bro a socialist, tbh? boutons is your brosep?

ing boutons. I dont' know tbh, my bro has always been a fascist type, i've always called him a Nazi, because he is the ultimate "my way or the highway" type. He likes government solutions and brags about their universal healthcare.

You would probably enjoy it over there more than me since you're fluent, and I really like it there. I like the dry weather and overall vibe of the place. People aren't stuck up imo, and I like their women, interesting mix of caucasian and sand . I don't like traveling but hope to go back. Hopefully their economy doesn't get worse so you can enjoy it.

I figured there was some of that...although Spain currently has a fairly right-wing government, IIRC...

Yeah, that's definitely a place where language won't be an obstacle... I've been to Paris many years ago and it was great too... I gotta head back that way at some point.

who runs government is immaterial, this country is run by a few oligarchs. We traded killing towel heads for oil, that's 'Murica way. More money was made with the wars and the collapse of the mortgage markets than ever before.

They're probably gonna parade a woman next, hope the electorate gets all warm and fuzzy.

I don't "idolize" anything, tbh... I recognize that's the reality we live in, whether I agree with it or not (and I voiced my displeasure with some of that before).
Oil prices have increased & money has yet to "trickle down" to the masses.

Aguero is fully fit for Netherlands game and di Maria has a solid chance of playing in a potential final as he has only a grade 1 muscle strain.

Europeans are terrified of the massive exodus from Africa. , you're the perfect example.

America has a MIC because that's what gets them money. As simple as that. Your average American probably couldn't pinpoint Afghanistan on a map.
Non-Europeans are no longer allowed. And if they fall thru the cracks, they are mistreated anyway. Encouraged to leave to places like Canada & USA

trickle down is bull . They'll spend some money here and there in the US, this is where they live after all, but that's about it.

What's beneficial of having them around is that it ensures this is likely the last place that's going to blow up.

The middle class here will continue to get squeezed, but it's still miles better than most countries. I'll probably be dead by the time there's any semblance of actual insurrection.

Immigration is an issue both Europe and America will have to tackle, tbh... unfortunately, I don't see the political will to do it..

Di Maria out for Argentina, could be used as a subs ute in the final if Argentina wins. Aguero could be back or go to the bench and play the 2nd half.

Vlaar and De Jong are doubtful for Holland.

Don't use that name Ronaldo in vain. The real Ronaldo is from Brazil. The Gaynaldo wanna be looks more and more like a tranny with every botox and implant he gets imo

All the other marquee stars are gone:

    - Ibrah didn't make it
    - Penaldo out in the group stage
    - Alexis 1st round
    - James 2nd round
    - Neymar hurt

This is midget's time to shine, tbh... his 'maradona' moment, carrying the team without Dive Maria...

I was reading Netherlands does a lot of tactical fouling. They're one of the teams that fouled the most in this World Cup, alongside Brazil out of the remaining teams... will be interesting to see what kinda ref we get for this game and if it's penalized...

I get the feeling this game won't go to penaldos. One team is going to win it before then.

    Greece most influential in politics

The only influence that Greece has wielded in politics is the massive debt they unloaded on the Eurozone

Europe combined can't beat the United States. That's it and that's all. Tee hee.

I don't expect De Jong playing as he is very doubtfull for the Finals if NL makes it

If Vlaar won't play it will be a huge blow for the dutch defence

Standard staple of Van Gaal teams defending. A bunch of small fouls in the midfield to disrupt the organization of attacks, none of them big enough alone for a yellow. Davids was great at such game destruction.

small NED = traditional butcher team since they got spanked in the 70s.

How devastating is this Vlaar injury going to be for the Netherlands? Not many people seem to be talking about it on various forums surprisingly.
