They don't say the same thing. The son of god don't actually walk the earth according to Judaism yet it is a staple of Christianity. Those are quite significant differences. Throughout history the deeds of "gods" were often things they didn't understand at the time. The Greeks had no clue what lightning was or where it came from, and thus the myth of Zeus was born. History has repeated itself but as science and technology progress, those questions get answered and this religion plays a smaller and smaller role as time goes on. Some, like Greek mythology, are completely outdated and useless. Religious activity and involvement has been on a steady decline for the past 400 years. It's a trend I anticipate to continue
