I'm sure you're referring to Antonio Gates, but he didn't play any sports at COS (only went there briefly to get his grades in order) and didn't play a down of football in college.... he also played basketball at two other colleges (EMU, Kent State).... saying COS "produced" him is a ridiculous stretch

Yep, Antonio Gates. But....read what I said. I said nothing about him playing there.

Stupid.....do you really think I/anyone is going to debate a tiny JC vs Texas Tech...hahaha!!!!!! I just found it interesting that Gates did go there and he's obviously a better NFL TE( vs other TE's) than anyone out of TT vs their position.

As usual youi never ever ever get anything right. I said nothing about Gates playing for COS, because he didn't.

But....when you list his education you will see COS there. So if anyone asked...what NFL players have attended COS you would mention Antonio Gates.

    Let me guess..zooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trolling is for young punk kids who don't know about so they must act stupid to get attention. I don't play that stupid immature bull . I come real, I don't follow anyone around, they come to me, just like you're doing.

I'm an historian (and can prove that) who knows his stuff, if ya wanna learn/debate/joust...cool! That's not trolling.

Not anyone who knows the NFL.

Antonio Gates vs all other TE's in history

    TD's...2
    Receptions...4
    Yards...3

Are you telling me Zach Thomas is among the top 3-4 linebackers ever?

Go anywhere ranking linebackers and you'll see....

    No. 15, Zach Thomas (Dolphins/Cowboys)
    (1996-2008)
    *Seven-time Pro Bowler
    *Five-time 1st Team All-Pro
    *Two-time 2nd Team All-Pro

This from 2012, talking greatest TE's

    6. Antonio Gates, Chargers (2003-12)
    3-time first-team All-Pro
    8-time Pro Bowler
642 catches for 8,321 yards (13.0 ypc) and 83 TDs

Only a dummy like you would see Thomas as a better backer tthan Gates is as a TE.

zach thomas was a tackling machine, but i thought he was generally overrated. he was consistent and reliable but i never really saw him as a gamebreaker

Thomas was great but he's not among the top 3/4 backers ever, Antonio Gates is among the top 3/4 TE's ever.

You can't compare the rank of positions. It's stupid.

Zach has more tackles than any linebacker currently in the HOF.

I'll give it a wash between the two and leave it at that.

It doesn't work that way. Because you are dealing with five teams playing a minimum of 16 games each. You are only interested in the end results.

It's 2012, after two weeks ATS

    Cincy...0-1-1 ended up...9-7-1
    Denver...1-1 ened up...11-6
    Indy..1-1 ended up...10-6-1
    Niners..2-0 ended up...10-8-1
    Seattle..1-1 ended up...13-5

    So the five started off....5-3-1
    They ended up...53-32-3

    2013 first two weeks

    Cincy...1-0-1
    Denver..2-0
    Indy...0-2
    Niners...1-1
    Seattle...2-0

    Started out...6-4-1

    Ended up ATS

    Cincy..10-6-1
    Denver...11-7-1
    Indy....11-7
    Niners...12-6-1
    Seattle...13-6

    So...57-32-3

So all that is going to "dramatically" change in 2014?

So a 110-64-6 is going to become a loser a year later?
I understand the logic behind even though the logic is by definition flawed, the historical result of years of rosters is no indication of the performance of a new roster. It would be like betting on chances of the Celtics winning championships in the 90's based on their 80's successes...

but at digress, I was just wondering if a 4-4-2 is anything good right now ? I understand it is not compared to a 110-64-6 but by itself you win money on a 4-4-2 ?

Will LSU beat Grambling 100 out of 100 years from now on, yes they will. How can that be with all those roster changes? Well?

Why haven't the Lions/Browns ever been in a Superbowl? Remember all those roster changes.

As far as the betting goes, you don't worry about any trend that is time tested. So it doesn't matter what happened in....two weeks.

no you cannot say LSU will beat grambling 100 out of 100 years from now on

Probably for the same reasons the Mavs never won a LOB before 2011... but guess what happened in 2011 ? or Bulls between 66 and 90... what happened next ?

I agree about the comparing rank of positions thing. When people list the greatest players they don't list 1 qb, 1 rb, 1 wr, etc. through all the positions and then go back to qb and do it all over.

But there is also the fact that there are usually 3-4 linebackers on the field. Usually only 1 TE.

Not sure about the thomas vs. gates thing though.

    Totally wrong on every level.

LSU is on a whole other level of football than Grambling is on. There isn't one player on that Grambling team that could start for LSU and it's been that way for over a decade.

    Talking football here not basketball.

I just showed you that the first few weeks had little to do with how things ended up. It's been that way for the five years since I discovered this system. It's a $$$$$$ maker.

Stupid is doing it any other way. That is how it's done dummy.

You know you're wrong so why play bull games?

You can rattle off a ton of backers before getting to Zack Thomas, you can't do that with TE's, it's Tony Gonzalez, Jason Witten, Shannon Sharpe, Antonio Gates, or maybe Kellon Winslow and then Antonio Gates.

    Watch this...

    Butkus
    Lawrence Taylor
    Ray Nitsche
    Ted Hendricks
    Bobby Bell
    Mike Singletary
    Ray Lewis
    Derrick Thomas
    Patrick Willis
    Willie Lanier
    Jack Lambert
    Jack Ham
    Junior Seau
