I know what you meant. But he listed the defensive holding along with HGH testing and you laughed about the decline of the defense. Also, you are probably quite foolish to think teams had no idea HGH testing was coming.

lynch is fed up with wilson taking credit and money for his and D's wins, that's all that there is. And it's hard to say he is not right, i mean just checking the TD/INT ratio against the elite 4 qb is beyond laughable

Their Defense looks fine to me. Could possibly use some younger bodies upfront but I see a talent disparity on Offense. By trading Harvin they essentially lost both their starting WRs from the Super Bowl

Red Bryant, Chris Clemons, Walter Thurmond, Brandon Browner were all losses that they're feeling now. They have other guys to step in, but last year their front 7 rotated more than anybody in the NFL, and right now with the injuries at corner they're really missing the crazy depth they had last season

He wanted a new contract this off-season, we refused and gave him a little more guaranteed money this year. Based on his perceived value and age, and what TYPICALLY happens to backs as they get into that 30 age range, it's not worth the risk. Not to say that he won't play well the next two years, it's just not worth the risk. Have to wrap up the young core which we have outside of Wilson and Wagner, and move forward. He'll be 29 after this year.
he's only 28? seems like he's been in the league a long time, I thought he was 31 or 32

that will be the Skull ening, with the media giving Wilson all the credit. he's a rich man's McNabb, which is good, just still overrated by a media hungry for BBC.

As of today, yes he is 28. Next year, 29. And with quite a bit of tread to boot. Probably has two maybe three solid years left after this season if preserved properly.

The whole team was miserable against Dallas. They had a chance to win it but allowed one of his year's patented 3 and long completions. I believe they've already doubled 20 yards + 3rd Down conversions they had last year.

Nobody is throwing anybody under the bus. Running backs tend to all decline around the same time

There are outliers like emmitt smith, but surely somebody like yourself can understand "trends"

how many running backs in recent years have maintained effectiveness after 30? I guess Fred Jackson but he had very low mileage

I just can't help myself, rough times over here at the moment. As a Bills fan, I figured you'd have a substantial amount of insight on this matter. How does a team handle all the roadblocks, trials and tribulations after a SB victory? Thanks in advance

Frank Gore, Steven Jackson are both still effective with no end in sight. I won't bore you with all those "once upon a time" guys very productive after 30. All very active their whole career.
