I'm not sure where Stumpy got Physical Therapy from anyways..
Seriously, in this day in age, when a doctor is in -$500k debt starting his career I have no idea why these guys r thinking I'm trying to brag that I'm a doctor. I didn't say I'm a congressman or some where your life is set forever. I went to medical school, I'm practicing now. No big deal, Spurraider was an ok poster, he has lost himself since he was accepted by DMC, Malik, CN etc.
For absolutely no reason, he just did a 180 after that, its the nature of Armenians.
Oh u forgot that day? When u posted about how some left wing radical was yelling at ur school about some stupid rights and you wanted to confront him but u went home and posted about it instead.
i never said anything about wanting to confront anybody
some moron claimed a guy getting handcuffed by a few cops was "excessive force" and i had a good laugh about it, thought i'd share.
Ya u did
i've made it clear that i'm not a big system fan at all, outside the toxicity album
ok. here is the post in question
assuming its true, we need more doctors like you. so sick and tired of stuck up doctors. boring ass doctors.
Tbh, when they put u into -$500 k debt, its kind of not very cool to be a doctor anymore.
No its not, and the residency pay can't possibly offset it.
In case you haven't realized, read the thread le and what my entire aim was. Stop taking baits![]()
U and me r cool Sook. We had a talk about the girl in your sig and how we'd let her fart on our dinner.
And yes, with Bachelors+Masters = $500 k...sadly for me anyways. On an average it can range from $350k-600k.
In fact, now that I remember, there was a thread on Student loans about a year ago and I commented how I was in student loan debt over becoming a doctor and gave some advice to some dude. That was how all this started, before I knew it people were using it against me and saying I'm lying. Welcome to Spurstalk I guess
So the great thing about TX is, we have the cheapest Med Schools in the country, 15-17K/yr (state contributes a lot of the tuition), but even then its about 40K/yr in student loans if you want to be able to do it..because truth is that its more than a full time job you don't get paid for. Then after going through some of the most compe ive exams, gunner classmates, you might get your residency position thinking you're on top of the world. What you don't realize is, you're getting paid 38K~ while working close to 100 hrs/wk. It also sucks that residency spots haven't increased along with the demand for physician. IMGs will probably suffer the most tbh, but it still doesn't bode well for most of the compe ive fields.
Not my place, but why GP then? Debt, amongs social hierarchy is the reason people avoid it.
why would you gun for a masters if you knew med school was the goal? just seems like unnecessary loans
Its compe ive as , average age is 27-28 for 1st yrs because people do post bacs and other stuff to get in. He also went to a top school from what I remember (top 10?)
i hear you. friend of mine had a 3.9+ out of UCLA (psychobio major). not sure what his MCAT was but he had to go to ing detroit for med school
he probably coulda gone somewhere better if he did post bacs i guess
doctors are actually known to be quite re ed outside of their field, so many of them are idiots with their money and make dumb decisions and go broke.
I'm sure besteva realizes this now, but it doesn't matter where you goto med school, unless you're talking about a hole program thats been on probation etc in the past. The great thing about the boards are, they normalize scores and whatnot, with step-1 contributing about 80% to what you will be able to do. That being said, I don't endorse the whole wave of DOs. For-profit schools popping up around the country taking students that couldn't get into an M.D school and offering a standard of education that isn't as tightly regulated as the LCME. Thats pretty much where I draw the line.
Besides, I don't think Osteopathic manipulative medicine has any scientific basis whatsoever.
That is not true at all man.
Besteva, not trying to hate brah but you always have these crazy stories and just follow them with 'i know it sounds pretty crazy but its true, i'm not in the business of making up stories like other ST folk'. Oh and I can't forget the 'idc if people believe me or not' at the end.![]()
"Chiropractors" are not "medical doctors". They're bull scam artists.
Did he go for anesthesiology?
not sure tbh, why?
I might know the u talking about
