But why go to the extreme with this? As we see/read there are many well respected intelligent people out there loaded down with degrees and credentials who challenge the theory of evolution. Many were once atheists who switched opinions.
The bottom line is there is enought evidence to support the fact that no we don't have all the answers yet and the only fair way to approach this until we do is to be open to all possibilties. This...."I know for a fact that.."..simply isn't realistic, we don't know anything for a fact when it comes to this.

You do know there are tons of others out there saying pretty much the same things about evolution right? For you to try and belittle all of them won't work. Those little bones attach to muscles, without which, whales would be unable to reproduce! They have nothing to do with walking on dry land and everything to do with creating baby whales. Therefore, this author is either completely ignorant of whale anatomy and therefore should not be writing about it, or this is malicious and deceitful.

I was talking about scientists I don't know where the general public is on this, you have already made it clear they don't count.
just because a vestigial structure has a new function that does not mean it is not still a vestigial structure. birds wings enable flight, but their ancestors that didn't fly still had arms with the same general skeletal structure. vestigial just means it no longer serves its original function.

i showed the evolutionary tree of how legged species are ancestors of modern whales. the two fossils i gave pictures of are two of the intermediates. the first one is rodhecetus and the second is dorudon. both are shown in the 3rd image as the whales predecessors
