That's right, Robinson was MVP. Maybe he shouldn't have won it...

...because it pissed off Hakeem "The Nightmare" Olajuwn

A Spur giving up his American cookie against another Spur is embarrassing. Beat him into submission. His leadership failed America. Permanent stain on his legacy. He became the 2nd Spur (vs. NO Lakers) that "won" a Bronze Medal. -2004 points for that whack ass

Magic's leadership is unquestionably better than any player in NBA history. "Honorary" or notPERIOD

PS - would Logo have traded Shaq for Robinsn? no. Bragging about a popularity contest as justification that Robinson at anytime being better than Shaq. SMH
What's any of that have to do with the 96 Olympics?

Facts: Robinson was the starting center on that team. He played the most minutes out of anyone. He led the team in scoring. Thus=Leader.

You got caught and are now trying to save face.

Magic was "honorary." He had absolutely no impact on that team's success. They would've won the gold with anyone at point.

Duncan proudly represented his country. Averaging the second most points, most rebounds, most blocks, and second in FG% on the team. If anyone failed their country, it's your boy Iverson, who shot like 35% for the tournament.

    That said, it still stands:

    2>0

A Laker has never led a team to an Olympic Gold Medal.

By your logic, Enrique has been the leader of the Spurs since the 2010-2011 season. I wonder how many BNSFs would agree with you.

That’s right, Jim hasn't led the Spurs since 2009-2010 season. that shiiiiiiiiiiit!

And at you thinking Shaq could not lead that 1996 team in FG%, FGA, FGM (nuff said, you get my point). They don't call him MDE for nothing.

If Kobe can lead Adam ing Morrison (rivalled only by Kwame as the biggest bust in NBA history) to a rang in 2009, Duncan should be able to lead a prime AI (a 1st ballot HOF player) to at least a Silver Medal.

    Man, you're hard tonight. Now you're doing should've, could've, would've

I just cited PPG as one stat Robinson led that team in. Point is, he had the best overall stats and saw the most court time. He also performed the best in the gold medal game: http://www.basketball-reference.com/...-08-02-USA-SCG

Shaq had a whopping 2 points

Duncan led Menke Bateer to a le. Who cares about bench players coattailing rings? Iverson was a starter. Supposed to be the team's primary perimeter threat and he shot Kobe like percentages for the tournament.

    - don't let me see you talking about Enrique, your $60M leader!

Point taken, but Jim had other 1st ballot HOFers on det team: LeBronze, Melo, and Wade. So in total, there were at least 5 HOF players on det team. And Jim led them to Bronze, before he quitPERID

Lebron, Melo, and Wade were rooks and hardly played. Larry Brown choosing to go with his son and Starbury over those two.

McGrady should've played, but he was scared of tewwowists

Now you . They were not rooks. 2004 Olympics came after their rookie campaigns. No excuses son. Jim is a bad FIBA leaderPERIOD.

They could've been rooks or 10 year vets. Doesn't matter because they hardly got any significant minutes.

Tim is a good FIBA player. Better stats than Kirbs

Just too bad he didn't have a great team put around him with Lebron, Wade, KD etc at their peaks.
