Who would you compare Green to in regard to any current of former NBA player?

Dude looks like he'll succeed on the spurs with his skill set. He'll get plenty of open shots. Also looks like he utilizes his strength well in the paint and has the ability to finish. His wingspan is nice and seems to be pretty athletic. He could help vs gsw and Okc. Just another thing to make the spurs more interesting to watch on top of getting our injured players back.

I didn't care that we got Green. Just happy your favorite player left the team.

Hopefully they find takers for Beli and Errors before the deadline tbh.

He looks reminiscent of a late career McDyess against D-League compe ion.
Way too early to know, but, might be a Darell Arthur/Draymond Green type

They could have sent (and still can) KA to Austin any time. This move in no way facilitates that. If anything, Kawhi's return allows it.

I'm not sure they want him up there right now. They've had more opportunities to send him for a game up there, and have only done it once. They may want him working exclusively with Chip and Chad, and not with the farm team coaches.
I wouldnt be shocked to see KA make a few trips to Austin in the upcoming weeks before the RRT and then possibly a few after as well.

All the injuries kinda ed up the Spurs plans for KA this year (which wasnt a terrible thing for his development)

It's always been known that exstatic is a Baynes hater, which is fine but he's probably the only poster that prefers Errors to him.

I thought he was a SF at first. After watching the videos, he looks like a solid pick and pop big with a little athleticism. Can't wait too see him get some playing time so we can see how he fares against NBA compe ion, hopefully he's better than Ayres.

If Austin Daye was in the D-League, he would be averaging 25 ppg, 12 rebs, 3 blks. Green looks more physical and athletic, lets hope he can be better than Daye

I liked Daye, so I'm sad to see him go. I think he knew this was coming. I bet you that Pop gave Daye those couple of starts so he could show other teams what he could do and increase his chances of getting signed by another squad. He looked like an All-Star in that game against the T-Wolves. That said, I am pretty high on Green. He is a good defender and we need that more than any offense Daye could provide. Kawhi Leonard being out, made it clear that we needed another long defender. I can't wait to see him in action.

I'm not that sad about Daye leaving, I mean at least he got ring right? All he can do is shoot. He's got good length but he's super scrawny and lacks athleticism. I think Pop just waited till after the White House visit to release him but yeah, maybe Daye already knew.

Green seems more like a big than a wing. He looks like he's got a solid jumper and is pretty athletic. I don't know about his defense but I hope he's the kind of player that hustles and plays hard.

I agree, every Spurs player that was assigned to Austin scored in the 20s.

The Spurs are looking at something more than just basic stats.

Daye's biggest problem is that he can't bring the "Nasty" required for playoff basketball.

He has length, a good shooting touch and can handle the ball well. However, there's no "Nasty" in him.

Averaged 11 minutes less than Daye yet has higher field goal/block percentage and same amount of rebounds. Sounds good to me lol.

    Baynes has had back problems
Baynes played 19 minutes the game before, and got a DNP/CD against Portland.

I think the reason that Bonner is getting minutes is that while he's not having a Bonner year shooting from long at 37.5%, he's shooting WAY better than Boris, who, at 32.9% is barely better than Cojo from beyond the arc.

Maybe the thought is someone may actually claim Daye as opposed to Ayres. He makes less money and had that big game recently. Saves money on the budget cap. He probably won't be claimed, but stranger things have happened.
