best example of shlubbery is Russ winning the NFC le game despite having more INTs than completions by half time.

For the game itself...
yep...Big Ben...Super Bowl XL. Went 9-21 I think. Seems like he barely threw for 100 yards. A couple of picks.

I think Trent Dilfer is the shlub king but Russ might knock him off this year.

Pittsburgh is one of the weakest teams i've ever seen make a conference championship games that year... Kordell Stewart. Pats won 24-17, and they got a punt return TD and a FG block for a TD, while Stewart served up 3 picks

Brady's stats from '01. Looks like all he was then was a game manager (good completion %, low yards, ect.) He made the pro-bowl but his stats weren't impressive.
Brady only averaged 189 passing yards a game that year. 18td/12int.

It was his first year as starter... he did quite well considering cir stances...
During the POs he played solid, on OT against the raiders he completed all his passes, only one int... injured second game, he had a legendary last 2 min in the SB..

Im part of the crew giving Wilson credit for the last 4 min, he made 2/3 great plays at the end no doubt. Wilson is a great QB IMHO

if the pats really felt they were winning "in spite of brady" then they would have gone back to bledsoe
