ST has officially turned on Tony![]()
All of those guys would have scored more than 2 points against the Warriors
Delusional pork s strike again.
They love seeing this team fail.
With Parker in heavy decline, the Spurs are pretty well screwed as far as a rebuild goes over the next couple of seasons. Perhaps Parker can continue to improve that 3pt shot so he can at least have some value headed into the last couple of years of his deal. Overall, I'm still not mad at the deal. Each of the Big 3 played a big role in at least one of the trophies in the cabinet...and most declining stars seem to get that one last deal where they are overpaid yet unproductive. It is what it is.
Not gonna presume Tony is done after half a season of bads. I remember people calling Tim done years ago. I myself made that mistake with Ginobili two years ago. But both players have gone on to post productive years after being in supposed decline.
Tony has been way off this year, but I'm not ready to say he's finished. Not for this season or any of the next two.
I just don't see Parker's speed/quickness magically returning on a consistent basis as he gets older. Duncan changed his body and Manu's game doesn't rely on his physical ability as much as it does his craftiness. Without his speed, Parker has very little use outside of being a jump shooter.
det leadership though
I don't really think he's pressing to get into the lane as much this year. Almost like there's another gear and he just hasn't decided to flip the switch. I figured his decline would come swifter than the other two unless he transformed his game, but I just don't see it happening that quickly.
I s'pose I could be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if he finished out the season strong in the last couple months.
Not gonna lie, I'm really starting worry how bad this extension was. If he's this bad now, imagine what he'll be like in 2 years...
I'd be more confident if he wasn't mediocre for most of last season as well. Players have off years. But he wasn't that great last season, was mediocre in the playoffs, and then he's been straight up bad this season. That's not a good sign. As much as I want to believe it's just a bad stretch, he hasn't played at an elite level since 2013. He's about to be 33 years old. I'm not feeling too good about his future.
In November curry said to owned him
did you forget to log into your hater account?
Pop even said this whole season depended on Parker's health and that we go nowhere without it/him.![]()
Pepperdine would be proud.
