If you work contracts for a temp agency and you're a 150.00 an hour guy (not rare) you can pull down 200K if you put in the time. Then you spend half that to maintain your travel and health coverage. If your base salary is 200K you're either a high level exec who gets stock options out the wazoo or you're the developer.

Then again we can cherry pick good years and post those but I'm not into bragging about my income. Some poor college is losing out on some grant money every time I hand them the bill.

You can't make real money unless you have people working for you. Also, get the out of a state with an income tax (although the franchise tax amounts to an income tax on businesses). I have a payroll of 22. It will be over 40 by the end of the year. Just got the CofO for a 2nd location.
