And for the West Coast / Media debate:
Doc Rivers lobbying for DeAndre is what cost Draymond his "home" votes...
mutombo in 95 i believe.
That brought a tear.
and yes, chandler a few years ago. didn't remember that one.
Also, it seems these days any time an award is presented in the NBA coach Pop either gets it or gets thanked for it.
looks like he's wearing catcher's mitts
damn that projection is going to end up better than pippen's. no indication of a ceiling whatsoever.
I think coach Bud almost cried.
Would be sweet to see The Admiral present him the award before the game tomorrow night.
Bud was crying about his father, not about Pop. He looks like he's about to cry all the time anyhow, but reflecting on his dad and probably Pop has subs uted in that role, at least emotionally, for Bud... Bud can't hide his feelings. Pop is likely going to go extra hard at the media just to shake the "awe shucks" he has to be getting from all the praise being heaped upon him.
Finally this idiotic award goes to the correct recipient. No one is scared by having to face Draymond f'n Green.

“Congratulations to Kawhi,” he said. “He’s a great defender. Phenomenal defender. He impacts the defensive end just as good as anybody in the league. So congratulations to him.
“Kawhi is what we all strive to be. He’s a champion. So you can’t sit here and beat yourself up or worry about what happened. He’s a champion. How can anybody complain about that?
“Disappointed? Yeah … but to be angry? That man’s a champion and we all strive to be that. You can’t knock that. He’s done that at the highest level. He’s helped carry his team to a championship on the defensive end.”
