Of course he did. He works at a storied college basketball school and won a championship there last April which lead him to a new five year deal making almost 3 million per year. Does he stay at UConn and become a wealthy coaching legend or go to OKC( living in Oklahoma) and hope that Durant isn't damaged goods and Westbrook will actually listen to him?

Seems like a pretty easy decision.

If he's smart he takes an NBA gig within the year. He's a very mediocre tactician, only a decent recruiter, he won with his former legendary coaches holdovers, and now expectations are unrealistic. It's a Tubby Smith situation.

Maybe Ollie has other offers.Or okc has picked someone else and this is a classy way of not saying he wasn't the top pick.

The reason they said he was a top pick was based on relationship to the players. That's really not a great predictor of who management will pick.

If Washington becomes available, and he gets the nod from Durant, he should leave immediately. Wall/Beal/Durant and the East is a 60-win team.
