Of course he did. He works at a storied college basketball school and won a championship there last April which lead him to a new five year deal making almost 3 million per year. Does he stay at UConn and become a wealthy coaching legend or go to OKC(living in Oklahoma) and hope that Durant isn't damaged goods and Westbrook will actually listen to him?

The reason they said he was a top pick was based on relationship to the players. That's really not a great predictor of who management will pick.
If Washington becomes available, and he gets the nod from Durant, he should leave immediately. Wall/Beal/Durant and the East is a 60-win team.
