once Manu retires we are not going anywhere with a SG that can't dribble the basketball.

    bye Danny
The Spurs are in the lottery next season without Duncan no matter what, but that's no excuse to let your talent walk.

and they still need a SG can can dribble the ball. Manu played that role but he's gone. Green gotta go unless SPurs can bring another playmaking SG.

It makes sense for both parties to split, tbh..

Green needs creators around him, and the Spurs are going to need a playmaker to replace Manu..with Parker's contract killing any chances of acquiring a new PG or contending, Spurs should probably retool, unless they acquire Aldridge or Gasol..

Spurs should try their best to keep Green. He is going to be in very high demand from alot of teams this summer and he doesnt seem like the loyal kinda dude. He wont stick around in SA if he could get paid more elsewhere, especially in a big market city. Very likely he could also end up with Lebron and be his "Shuttlesworth" in Cleveland. Thats my bet..

Keep him at least to use to bring in other talent in trade then. Look how long it took the Spurs to recover from losing Rod Strickland for nothing in free agency. You just can't lose talent for nothing, especially in San Antonio where you're never drawing good free agents.

He is Trevor Ariza material. A very good defender who can hit 3's, but can't create his own shot. That is why people who think teams are going to pay him 10mil+ are asinine. And if a team does, they are as well.

Going rate for guys like Green are 5-8 mil. Being that Green is in his prime he will get a 7-8mil a year contract tops.
green wants back in cleveland where he can act like a ing thug. sign and trade

Keep Green and hope we find some diamond in the rough to compensate for Parker.
