Yup...the Clippers just outhustled and outexecuted the Spurs. They won the series fair and square. No whining, folks.

Yeah no doubt clippers couldn't play any better and spurs played like .series still went 7

Spurs would have steamrolled the Rockets, and we would've beaten Memphis too.

Damn...just...damn. Just goes to show you how much luck is required to win a le. If Tiago doesn't hurt his vagina at the end of the season and Tony is able to play like AT LEAST a league average player, then things would have been way different.

Coulda shoulda woulda...I know, but it's just frustrating to see things unfold this way.
No, all it took was Pop limiting Parker's minutes to more than 20 a game and playing Mills and Cojo in his stead.

Pop F it up by listening to Parker and playing him 30 minutes a night despite him shooting like 30+% from the field and getting schooled by both Paul and Rivers.

But toward the end, it looks like everyone except Kawhi and Patty looked relieved anyways. 3 grueling years of the playoffs I guess can do it to you.

    That Pelicans loss
This. I know you can point at plenty of other things ...but I still think with a #2 seed and HCA through the WCF Spurs have a 50/50 chance to repeat ...that loss dropped the chances to 10% but they still are just one amazing shot away from forcing OT in a game 7.

The loss that will always stand out to me was the OT lost at home to the Piston where the Spurs were up by 8 with 1:20 to go and proceeded to miss 7 of 9 FTs to finish the game.

That one game and the Spurs would be playing the Rockets w/ HC more than likely right now.

    Hypothetical:

If the Spurs make the playoffs for the next 3-4 years in a row, does this cement them as the best franchise ever? Would be an incredible feat with all the change and consistency. What if they manage to win #6?

Yes there will be an argument of course if that happens.

Of course we did thanks to our stupid coach.
Pop leaves it on the players always which I don't think is fair. Part of the job description is putting the players in the best position to succeed. Even if we had last years Pop we would have made it out of the first round. He just didn't care this year.

The Spurs gave away at least 5 games in the regular season that would have allowed them to cruise into the post season as a 2 seed with some rest. It was obvious the Spurs were spent entering the playoffs. But yeah, the Spurs are still the best team in the league when they play like they're capable of playing. Their inconsistency this year bit them in backside. The only guy playing at the top of his game was Tim. The GOAT needed some help though. Too bad.

Just another Spurs snakebit season, of which there have been many. Easily an 8 le team with a bit of luck.
