nope. wade looked like but he wasn't injured from what I remember. and no way in are they all created equal.
Yeah Wade was actually looking rejuvenated last year in the Eastern Conference rounds. LDN just shut that down in the Finals, tbh.

no. the dubs deserve an asterisk. that's all there is to it.
Then the spurs deserve an asterisk when they beat a hobbled thunder team who missed a couple of games and a hobbled heat team. You should go back to the club forum and stalk chumpdumper some more because you clearly have ty takes here in the nba forum

Weak year in the league and the Dubs took advantage. Only the Spurs could step up to them and we saw how that turned out.

It shouldn't discredit the Warriors' championship as you need some luck to win, but man I would kill for the Spurs to have an easy path like that.
and trust me, the media would be all over it. These gots act like the Spurs haven't tried to be discredited throughout their le runs. duncan wouldn't even be in peoples top 10s if not for 5.

Warriors have had one of the easiest le runs in recent history, but nobody remembers injuries and compe ion in the long run, they're still a historically great team that is continuing the prominence of new-age basketball, and eliminating the antiquated, triangle, ISO-ball of the ugly days, thankfully..

    Totally agree with this post.

We all would like to have an easy path to the Finals...but it shouldn't diminish the accomplishment at all. The word "Asterisk" is just too harsh. Words like lucky, blessed, and fortunate are more appropriate.

If the 8th seed in the Western Conference somehow played against teams in the playoffs who suffered injuries to key players...I could see how some people would look down on that accomplishment. But, this isn't the case. The Warriors are the best team in the NBA and they've proved it all year long. This situation does not call for an asterisk IMHO.

The Heat were 100% healthy in last year's Finals IIRC, but ya, Ibaka missing 2 games obviously made a significant difference..the Spurs' 2013 West run was pretty easy, too..

Even giving the Warriors credit for their dominance, it can't really be argued that they didn't have an easy run..they didn't play against any great teams, tbh..kind of reminds me of the easy run the 2007 Spurs had, as well, although the Suns were probably just as good as those Spurs..

If your argument is that ibaka still played last year, then conley still played, kyrie played 1 game, jrue played 3 games. I know you are probably butthurt that the warriors might win a championship and that you proceeding to cut your wrist for making a ty thread but cmon dont be more of a got. and denying that the heat team wasnt hobbled

Wade looked great in the first 3 rounds, and he looked great in the Finals when he was covered by Belinelli or Ginobili..people just made excuses for him in the Finals because he struggled when matched up against Green or Leonard, which is typical of declining, ex-stars(see our own Tony Parker, for example)..

Playing through minor, nagging injuries is pretty common in the playoffs, especially for older players..if we're going to consider that as "injured", then I guess Duncan and Ginobili have been injured every year for the past 8 playoffs..

When did Wade get injured? People were actually talking about how much better he was going to be in the 2014 Finals after struggling in 2013, and how it was an advantage for the Heat, based on how great he looked in the East playoffs up until that point.. revisionist history..

I don't give a damn about laker fans respect. most of them are frontrunning gots. and trust me, the media has and would be questioning the spurs le if they played teams with as many injuries as the warriors have.
Again I don't buy that considering the media has not disrespected the Spurs since the '03 championship. If you don't believe this than give me some examples and cite them where the media dissed the Spurs recent 3 championships. You do care what Laker fans think you mention that in the previous post by saying they would have ran their mouths if the Spurs had won under similar cir stances as the warriors did.

talk about luck. did they play any team that was at full strength the entire post season?
There wasn't a single team that could/can compete with them of the teams they faced, full strength or not. Even when Memphis got Conley back, they proceeded to get run off the court. Now had the playoff seedlings not been screwed up by a quirky division and conference standings setup and if the Clippers don't choke to the Rockets, they may have had to deal with both the Spurs and the Clippers, who both could have taken them down, so they got a major break in facing Memphis and the Rockets instead.

Fatigue, maybe. But definitely healthy. I know it's the Leastern Conference but he was playing really well until the Finals. Danny Green just shut him down.

mr. Lebron is leading a team with a bunch of scrubs to the finals last year. Last year you were tearing wade a new asshole because he struggled even though he was dealing with an injury. Pick a lane and stick to it.

Wade was a champion before Lebron...

Lebron got a le on a locked out season which is an asterisk and another one because Tammy s was worried what Amy would do with the SECRET ...so in essence Lebronze Medal should have zero les...but he does so THANK YOU AMY

God, I hate sports fans, tbh..such a stupid breed..

Zach Lowe's Finals preview from last year: http://grantland.com/features/nba-fi...at-spurs-2014/

Dwyane Wade, a borderline liability last time around, is healthy and productive again, and Lewis’s frisky play has given a thin roster new versatility. The Spurs outscored Miami by 54 points last season with Wade on the court, per NBA.com; Miami won the series only because it blitzed San Antonio by 49 points in the 86 minutes Wade sat, and that trend continued even as Miami recovered to win Games 6 and 7 at home. Those numbers reversed almost exactly when Miller was on the floor, and he was a valuable wild card for the Heat. They miss him.

Wade can’t shoot from long range, and he was always hanging around the baseline, mucking up Miami’s spacing:

What does that have to do with injury? Wade was pretty bad in 2013, and I don't remember bashing him in 2014, but he wasn't that great anymore, either..

There was no mention of Wade's injury prior to the Finals..I can link dozens of previews that don't mention it, at all, and most of them discuss how he looks great..

I'm not even on Diaz's side in this argument, Spurs have benefited from injuries, too, but Wade wasn't one of them, actually..it's especially silly, considering the Heat played much better in the 2013 Finals when Wade was off the floor, Spurs' struggled to defend their shooters + Lebron..

Ibaka is a much stronger argument, since the Spurs' clearly struggle against him on both sides..

It just looked like to me he lost a step in the Finals. He was slower, for sure. Plus, he didn't have the same lift on his jumper. You may be correct though...it could have been fatigue of reaching 4 straight Finals. I mean he let Splitter throw his back in his face for Christ's sake.

I know it's the Leastern Conference but he was playing really well until the Finals. Danny Green just shut him down.
Not gonna argue with that one bit. Verde showed me a lot in the Finals last year...dude can be a defensive nightmare when he's motivated.
