Does he mean in 5 years?
Nikola Milutinov @NMilutinov
What an honor and a privilege to be drafted by the @spurs. I am very excited to get to Texas.
Does he mean in 5 years?
Hopefully that means he's coming over.
You're expecting too much from the #26 pick, players at that position are rarely if ever ready to contribute to a championship team right away. A rookie RJ Hunter wouldn't even be close to giving us Belinelli production. Nobody at this spot is going to make or break out championship aspirations.
Hard to believe they would take a drastic drop from 10 and 7 to 5 and 3 a year but it's possible. I'm thinking 7 and 5 for 12 mil total
That'd be hilarious, just to troll spurstalk.
Dude is pencil thin. He'll come for a visit and eval and then head back
Might not give us the same production, but he'd be a of a lot cheaper, no? The goal is making room for LMA without having to let Green walk.
The Heat went to 4 straight finals playing small ball and regardless, Timmy is a center in all but name.
Manu needs to take less than 3 mil or gtfo
If that's the case, then Mills definitely has to go, or Green.
We don't have Lebron James
Even if he does walk you're still light a backup SG
Leonard is a FAR cry from James, even at his most overrated.
I don't understand why people suddenly think we need to let Green walk? The cap numbers have only changed to give us MORE room, we can still trade Splitter and get max cap space while keeping Green, Mills, Duncan and Manu assuming Manu takes the Room Exception which frankly is all he's worth at this point.
Probably. If they wanted someone that can immediately produce, they wouldn't have drafted a Euro.
Of course he's not, but the point is that he can play the same small ball 4 position that made the Heat so successful. If we bring in Aldridge and keep Duncan and Diaw our front court rotation will be fine.

Nikola Milutinov has gained about 25 pounds since that video ESPN showed was shot, FWIW.
Norris Cole played a role in three straight Heat finals runs. What did Delledova do as a sop re who was a playoff rookie? Little things can mean a lot, even to a great team. Maybe Hunter and Neal could have battled for the backup two spot, with RJ developing over the season and getting situational minutes in the playoffs. Maybe Harrell could have provided the Spurs with a counter to GS' small-ball for a few minutes here and there. They don't have to be full-time guys to make a difference. But they aren't going to make that difference if they aren't even on the roster.
And that was just walking down the street in London.
Wow the spurs might just ruin a good chance because they are too loyal to the older guys..........
Those are players you can get undrafted or waived. I wouldn't give guaranteed first round money to just anyone.
