Does he? I thought his dad was in prison and had major drug problems.
Well we now know nobody but else will ever wear #14 for the Spurs.

Unless Manu has agreed to play for the room exception.
Awesome!! What a great deal too
I know I'm late, but....
YEA!!! Welcome back Verde!
Are you saying renounce him and then sign him for the league minimum? I'm not that familiar with the current CBA.
My fear was Green was going to the Mavs.
The room exception is a small exception (about 2.8M per year for a max of two years) granted to teams that use cap space to sign free agents. It was added in the 2011 CBA.
So they could renounce Manu and then sign him with that exception.
I think it's possible that Ginobili could come back for the minimum or whatever is left on the table after all is said and done.
It'd put a damper on things if Ginobili retires but I haven't given up hope. Even he has to be excited with what's going on, even though Splitter was his best friend on the team.
oh is that The timvp?
That will hopefully be enough money to coax Manu into doing a victory lap on his career. If he announces one more season, Spurs fans will celebrate him all season. A fiesta would break out each time he checks into the game.
They could even do the Dice deal and sign him to a two year deal with the second year 50% guaranteed. Then he effectively gets 4.2M for next year.
All these moves almost certainly mean that TD has already agreed to take whatever cap space is leftover after they sign LMA.
Really don't want to lose Mills.
Hopefully Manu comes back for one more. Know he wants to go out in London next summer. Needs to keep in basketball shape.
Damn I want him back, the bench still desperately needs him.
Tim got bird right, isn't he?
Question is, does tendering Joseph count in the plan? Right now, he's on the hold for more than $5 Million, I believe. So even minus Splitter, you have LMA and Cory eating all the cap space.
Is it possible that Tim is taking the minimum after all?
Raptors are out of the LMA sweepstakes. Dallas just offered Wes Matthews most of their cap space. Leaves the Knicks and who else.
Me neither... but the Spurs are pot committed now. They're going to have to chuck Mills if necessary. At the beginning I really only wanted the Spurs to give up Splitter because losing Mills and Splitter + renouncing most of the bench is going to be way too much.
Although I think since Duncan might agree to a lower contract and Manu maybe accepting one of the exception, the Spurs won't have to give up Mills.
