    He was good but, overrated.
That also sums up his entire career actually.

He at least lived up to the hype made about him before he jumped across the pond. I'll hold a glass of Bell's Two Hearted up to his accomplishments in the black and silver and wish him well in the red, blue, whatever color the Hawks are today!

The difference Splitter made is demonstrated by three things -- (1) that Memphis series in '11 when Splitter wasn't used, (2) everything that happened after that when he joined the rotation, until (3) this year when he was injured for the First Round.

Perfect bookends for the Spurs' run with Mr. Splitter, the underappreciated interior anchor. Simple as that.

    Thank you, Golden God.

Splitter was huge in last year's run. The Spurs are definitely going to miss his defense.

Would have much rather it have been Diaw. But from what I hear from other fans, Diaw has like no trade value anymore.

I'm really sad to see Splitter go. God if he could have just stayed healthy, the only bigmen they have ever had better on the defensive end are Duncan and Robinson.

If the Spurs get Aldridge, he better step the up on defense. Don't want another he-who-must-not-be-named debacle.

Thanks to Santiago Splitter. Wish you weren't injury prone but you were much better than Rasho, Jackie Butler, McDyess and DeJuan.

Great person. Really damn good player when healthy. He might be the best pure pick-and-roll center in the league. And at his best he's probably a top 10-15 defensive big.

It's a risk to give him up but I approve of the gamble.

Good luck down the road Tiago, try to stay healthy please for your own sake. Calf injuries when you're older suck!

Tiago actually looked really good last year when he was healthy.

I say forget about Lamarcus and go for Dummand Green instead!

I like him, but Pop was always right about "blue collar" and I felt he was severely overrated in here...

That said, his goaltend on Wade in Game 5 that sparked the run to seal #5 will never be forgotten, tbh

I always liked Tiago. Sad that he was traded, but if it nets us Aldrigde it's worth losing him. Glad that he was traded to the Hawks.
