Just medias speculating.
Just posturing by LMA. No way the Spurs dump Splitter for cash if they weren't all but certain LMA was coming to San Antonio.
We were led to believe Green was gone from the Spurs yesterday and looked how that turned out. Nothing we can confirm until Aldridge actually announces it himself.
And If I'm Aldridge the Knicks must not feel I'm a priority if the meeting is until tomorrow. If they wanted him so bad they'd be there already..
Suns are going to get, watch
please tell me when the in the history of the Spurs we have landed an all star FA that wasn't washed up. If he was serious about the Spurs he'd already have singed, LOL @ wanting to talk to the Knicks now
If Aldridge doesn't come, the Splitter trade will look very stupid. LOL Greg Monroe, yea he can play offense but I don't believe he really helps this team much more than Tiago does. And he's also a big IF.
Honestly I don't see what he could want in Phoenix.
Bledsoe / Chandler / LMA isn't good enough to contend. It isnt even as good as what he had in Portland
The Spurs should give him a deadline and then move on to their backup plan. If he can't commit and is giving serious consideration to teams then I'm not sure he deserves to be here. Dude will be Public Enemy #1 in San Antonio.
As for us moving Tiago, I'm ok with it whether LMA comes here or not. Way too unpredictable and unreliable.
I'm with the others here who think him dragging this out points to him not really bring serious. I mean the Knicks? Really? He's eating this ish up man.
Does Phoenix have the cap space to offer a max contract? I'm pretty sure they don't, so that would have to make it a s&t.
Didn't someone once say that LMA wants to continue playing with Robin Lopez?
Yea, he's gotta decide soon and not in the next 5 days or so. Does he want to win or be a stat padder on a ty team.
yea they don't have the money. So Bledsoe's got to go and he was in the meeting with Aldridge. I really don't get what that stupid organization is doing.
Disagree with deadline, for that caliber talent you can wait.
That's probably the biggest decision of his career.
He'd be stupid not to listen everyone before taking his decision
Meh, there a lot of favors being done to teams be agents to help them build up there cred as destination cities. LMA just playing his part with some of these teams.
Spurs
Knicks
Lakers
Suns
Raptors
I think it's clear where he should go. SO yea he'd be stupid if he ain't coming to SA.
David Pick @IAmDPick
I've been told LaMarcus Aldridge is not going to Phoenix.
Is this guy more reliable than TSpence??
Exactly.
He agreed to meet with certain teams, and he's standing by that and meeting with them all.
Every rumor we hear (even from the 'top' journalists) -- Spurs are front runners, Spurs/Suns are neck-and-neck, Lakers are out -- are just that... rumors.
LMA probably hasn't talked to anyone but his agent at this point about which way he's leaning. So it's all speculation.
This. It's a big decision and the last time he'll be courted like this. Let him do his thang. But if Friday rolls around and he's still teetering, I'll be a tad annoyed.
Monroe is the king of empty stats. He's not the kind of player you trade away Splitter for. It would be stupid to trade away Splitter before getting reassurance from the Aldridge camp that a deal is all but signed, sealed and delivered because free agents can't officially sign until the 9th. The Spurs would have from now until then to unload Splitter and free up cap space to sign LMA. Another reason why I think he's just posturing.
LaMarcus Aldridge will not be joining the Lakers, The Times has learned. They were a 50-50 choice but he disliked bball part of presentation
basketball reasons
Hope sauces are accurate
