Lillard being all emo like that with that passage from that book makes it seem like LMA is gone? I don't know
If the Clippers lose Jordan and the Spurs don't get Aldridge, Warriors get another free pass to the Finals, tbh..
Anybody else feels an LMA meeting with Lillard is good for the Spurs?![]()
Read that tweet that Lillard just posted.![]()
'"You should be my sidekick" -Kobe' -Lillard![]()
Is Woj dead? He hasn't tweeted anything in 13 hours.
Every dang tweet or message has an agenda. The pop second meeting thing didn't come from the spurs directly. Maybe this is to rebut the "I'm giving second meetings to everyone but the spurs, so they're out" meme.
This may just be another "spurs are still number one but there's no hurry" message
he opted out of $12.5 million... He isn't going for money.
Riley the liar. He didn't even want to pay Wade. If LMA drops off a bit, Riley would walk past him like a street bum.
Yeah, that's definitely something LMA should consider. The Spurs maxed out Parker coming off a pretty poor season. The Heat had Wade take less two contracts in a row and didn't want to reward him. If it's a choice between which franchise will take care of him the most, there isn't really a discussion.
I think it is a good sign that the diva has committed to the spurs but needs some handholding.
Manu talked to Bobo earlier online.
Riley only paying because he got pressure into it by the whole nba. If it weren't for that, wade would be in a new jersey next year.![]()
Doc Rocket who is a really reliable source from Cluthfans also is saying that he has been told that Aldridge is not going to the Suns. Sounds like Spurs are way ahead of everyone in the Aldridge race hoepfully something gets done this afternoon.
Lillard wants to hear it from Aldridge himself. Let's say he stays in Portland...Matthews, Batum, and RoLo are gone, that's 60% of your starting lineup (and 80% if Aldridge goes)...Lillard has many years left ahead of him but Aldridge is now reaching the top and is slowly going trail off in the next 2-3 years. Maybe he wants his chance at moving up the NBA legacy, be more than Malone and Barkley and Wilkins and Ewing and so on...
don't make me pull out the Mexican pointy boots vid.![]()
Yep, this is exactly what I said earlier. The only thing that would even be remotely possible is his heart issue which I believe is now under control. Any long-term injuries and your health is pretty much covered for life from the team anyway.
He's not pressuring him, at the end of the meeting Pop needs to make the or get off the pot statement though. Spurs are 11-14 other players on the team, LMA or anyone else is a cog in the machine.
Lillard also wants the limelight, the endorsements, the accolades... he's a good player, but right now he's growing and he's all about himself. I think it's part of the reason LMA felt like leaving....
So tired of refreshing... I wish I could just get a text update when he finally gets off the pot.
