If I were to pick LJC or Lalanne, I'd pick Lalanne. Dude is taller and certainly more of a center, which the Spurs need. At the very minimum he'd be an adequate Baynes replacement (funnily enough, he's a foul-a-minute guy like Baynes.... EIGHT FOULS in an exhibition game? lol)
LJC had 6 blocks, two against Okafor. LJC absolutely has to be on the team.

Lalanne, as much as the Spurs need a center today, needs a year to refine his game. He has to get bigger, improve his footwork and how he holds the ball.

And as I understand it, LJC can force the Spurs' hand and force them to offer him a contract or lose his rights. Since his deal would be more than the rookie minimum would Duncan have to take even less to accommodate this?

6 blocks in 23 minutes of play? I don't think Ayres got 6 blocks the entire time he played in Summer League.
Jeff Ayres had 8 blocks all last season (in 383 minutes)

I don't know about you, but I couldn't tell them apart seeing them on the court. LaLanne may be taller but not by much, and LJC's athletic advantage definitely makes him seem like a higher-ceiling defender. LJC also has the advantage is mobility, which means helping in PnR defense better than LaLanne likely. That's a huge need with Splitter gone.

But they should both make the team, so this is moot.

Gerald green would be a phenomenal pick up but I don't see him signing for he min. Tayshaun Prince would be a great back up 3 for defense purposes at this point.

What intrigues me about Livio the most is his potential as a D option in small ball. In order to get past teams like Golden State, OKC, and Cleveland, we'll have to go small and he could play sf to c. I mean if GS played Draymond at C, he could do it too, right? How would he match up against Kevin Durant is what I'd like to know or Lebron for that matter. Cause if he can guard any of the above players mentioned, he could be serviceable already. Situational but he'd get minutes i think. I would love to see him and Kyle compete for the backup spot. I think the risk would be worth it for the potential reward. And it would be higher than a Prince or Butler.

Kyle Anderson has no chance guarding Lebron or Durant.

For small ball however, he can easily back down any of the smaller guards. Just watch the clip of him destroy the Blazer guards.

    I'm liking tayshawn

A reenergized tayshawn would fit nicely. 10 mins a game tops

It didn't help that one was No. 26 and the other was 28.

Kyle's a slow man in a quick man's game. He isn't going to ever be a backup for this team at the NBA level. He'll play out his time in Austin and then quietly go overseas (unless some dumb team like Detroit decides to give him $30 mil like they did Baynes).

I'd do Sepharin if available. If not Aldrich, last option Perkins.

He's signing with the Hawks if he hasn't already.

He's listed on their Vegas roster.

Although he is listed as a C/F and isn't the bulky guy we need for teams like Memphis and Houston, I think Tyler Hansborough could be a good fit for this team. Hustle guy who will do the dirty work. I don't know how good he is defending the Pick and Roll, but really seems like a "Spurs Guy".

Still could be compensation for Splitter . . .

    (Okay, I'm a dreamer.)

I actually think Ayres may be a consideration. He actually played better the last third of the year, knows the system, could be had for the minimum.
