Kevin Love's contract
DeMarre Carroll, SF, Toronto Raptors, 4-years, $60 million
Robin Lopez, C, New York Knicks, 4-years, $54 million
Rajon Rondo, PG, Sacramento Kings, 1-year, $9.5 million
Amir Johnson, PF, Boston Celtics. 2-years, $24 million
Al-Farouq Aminu, SF, 3-years, $30 million, Portland
DeAndre Jordan, Dallas Mavericks, 4-years, $80 million
Greg Monroe, Milwaukee Bucks, 3-years, $50 million
Ed Davis, PF/C, Portland Trailblazers, 3-years, $20 million
Tyson Chandler, C, Phoenix Suns, 4-years, $52 million
The Chandler deal is a gasser. Totally indefensible.
Carrol's is pretty bad, but he has potential to get better. I think that Robin Lopez got paid wayyy too much, but the Knicks had to do something. Someone else would have probably paid him around that amount anyway, unfortunately. Amir Johnson is way overpaid. I like Ed Davis' deal. Monroe at 16 per actually isn't that bad compared to Deandre, Robin Lopez, etc. Deandre Jordan was not worth a 20 mil per anywhere but the clips. The mavs are stupid if they think he can be "the man." He isn't going to magically develop an offensive game. Tyson's would have been fine if it was a 2 year deal. I don't know how productive he will be in 3 years since he relies on athleticism a lot. Rondo's deal is fine since it's 1 year. Who knows, maybe he reverts back to old form with 2 new stars around him. I'm honestly not sure which is the most outrageous. There have been a lot of terrible deals handed to players this offseason.
chandler deal was an all-in play for LMA that fell flat on its face. now they're stuck with him and won't want him within a year
I can't believe that. They knew they stood no chance at LMA, 21. None.
But, you're right,,,regardless...they "won't want him within a year."
Forgot about shump's. Guess the cavs decided this is the squad they will go with for the next 3 years or so. Unless they make some trades.
What did the Shump get?
4yr/40 million
David West taking a huge payout is kind of outrageous, but a good kind of outrageous.
Reggie Jackson 5/80 is by far the worst
Forgot about that one as well. Terrible. Similar player in Isaiah Thomas gets 4/27. LOL. I remember people though Boston was stupid for getting him because he was overpaid. He may not be great, but is undoubtedly worth it at that price.
DeLusional Jordan's $80 mil albatross is the worst.
I like the Shump, but, not for that much. Christ.
Meh, the biggest losers are Laker ticket holders.
has to be either aminu or carroll. belinelli too
he's a good fit next to markieff so i wouldn't call it a bad deal
Rondo deal is only bad because they gave up two firsts (Stauskas and a future one) plus two potential first round pick swaps in order to get the cap space to sign him and Marco.
Three Spurs guys getting MLE-plus money (Marco, CoJo and Baynes) is pretty darn impressive too when you consider that Splitter is only making a little more than each of them.
i can hardly think of two players that are playing the same position and are more different than those two.
Aminu isn't a bad contract. Shump's is way worse.
