Boban helps to put that no Tavares trade in perspective. The Spurs still should have got a better pick from ATL. Splitter was a major factor in two finals runs.

I think this clearly indicates that the Spurs wanted Tavares in the deal -- this guy is the closest player to Tavares you could clone.

Been a long time since I watched yao for comparison.
BOBAN is a post scoring and rebounding monster. Passes fine. Not selfish. Great hands. Plays hard.
But he's slow, has problems with defending pick and rolls similar to Duncan if not worse, and would have stamina issues on teams that aren't San Antonio
If tavares improved 1000%, he would be BOBAN
