If Russell never plays a single game, the disappointment wouldn't be half that than MVP harden pissing away 13 possessions and the chip.
I've said for a long time he should not handle the ball for 48 minutes. They have no PG.

Durant averaged over 30 ppg the last time we played them. Did he really stop Durant?
ppg =/= efficiency. It was a 7 game series that you would have won in 6 or less easily had OKC not gotten lucky at the end of game 4. Memphis was the better team, but they wore out too early. Durant struggled with his shot, 30 ppg notwithstanding.

Meh, Lin was always overrated...and they put up with a similar SG/C star duo situation with TMac/Yao not too many years ago for quite awhile, with a guy from the And-One squad as your PG... seriously, when's the last time you guys had a star PG again? Steve Francis?

BTW, Bevvy will be back to take out Westy's knees again. 2nd seed confirmed, as per par.

The Grizz are always completely gassed by Game 4 or 5 of a series. Hoping and praying to sweep a team like OKC or beat them in 5 before their stars pull their heads out of their asses is not a winning strategy for Memphis. There is no margin of error whatsoever. We can play elite defense without Tony Allen, but our offense will never be fluid enough to win a le with him on the roster.

Francis was a chucker at best. But yeah, Dragic, Lowry and Brooks were their last good Point Guards.

Not when the Warriors make him shoot corner threes all game and he goes 1/12, lol. That's why he needs to do more backdoor cuts for layups with Gasol passing out of the double. Obviously he can't shoot, but the Grizzlies don't win by scoring lots of points. They're an inside-outside team, and often inside-inside. With Courtney Lee and Vince Carter or Matt Barnes in the game, they have more flexibility offensively, but their defense suffers tremendously. It's a tradeoff that has worked well in the past against teams like OKC with multiple perimeter stars. Conley can hold his own against Westy and Allen/Barnes (formerly Prince) can guard Durant.

Lowry happened during your dark non-playoff era, so irrelevant... Dragic was good but not great as a Rocket, and Brooks was good in 09 against the Lakers with you guys shorthanded. I still wish you guys had won the series, because FTL

Rockets still have the MLE to play with. They have to shore up their PG position. I heard rumors that Chuck Hayes maybe headed back as a reserve at Power Forward.

Its 2015, , you don't win with players like Tony Allen as a key player anymore..

Grizzlies are a perennial "blind and false hope" team that are hyped due to 90s nostalgia..people are desperate for an old school team to beat teams like today's Spurs and Warriors types..

Grizz didn't do either. Replaced Koufos with Brandan Wright, traded for Matt Barnes (lol) who was about to be waived by Charlotte anyway, and drafted a couple of busts. Our GM also refused to entertain any trade offers for Tony Allen while his trade value was at an all time high. That son of a does more harm than good and needs to be traded for an actual wing who can shoot BEFORE he loses a step and becomes untradeable.

Our first round pick (Jarrell Martin) has a Jones fracture in his foot. The exact same type of injury that has ended many big's careers in the NBA. Of course, this was news to our GM the day after the draft, but he would never admit that he didn't know about it.
I actually like Jordan Adams a lot. He's a gifted scorer. I hope he gets some playing time this season.
