All true. She should have known/been taught more about the money in the first place, but she'll probably end up with pretty manageable debt coming out of college.
An adult should not have to be told not to blow her grandparent's money on clothes and European vacations, David. This is just common sense here.

Lol lets not sit here and try to act like this is all on the parents and grandparents. Sure they are guilty of letting the spoiled little princess have whatever she wants but at that age and younger I knew better. I was the type to save all my birthday and Christmas money as a kid, willingly go to community college rather than take loans for room and board, and to this day I still save about 75% of my income. You can't teach or unteach stupid. Society did this, IMO.

The parents seem alright, they aren't bailing her out and are telling her to own up to her debt. The grandparents did a fairly normal thing, giving up what they don't need to their grandkid so she can have a head start.
It's all on her, tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if she's shooting for some liberal arts degree, god knows 90 grand wont last in pursuing a STEM oriented degree.

I might have had A LITTLE sympathy for her but that went out the window when she started ranting about how she couldn't work. College isn't that hard, especially when you're a poetry major like that girl probably is, there's more than enough time to also work 20-25 hours a week.
