Isiah Thomas is the worst defender in the league; and it's not even close tbh. And Jimmer has played for some dysfunctional teams. His offensive and defensive ratings are both likely to greatly improve in the Spurs system.

Jimmer will impress Pop in training camp, get signed for the year, and have Bruno and timvp doing the jimmer dance by mid-season.

Gary has at least shown up in the NBA. If there wasn't an already emerging off guard coming up, I'd be all for this move. Jimmer just didn't really fit with our current bench guys. Who do we play him with? Jimmer/Manu? Good offense, we're gonna get sliced apart though by anyone with a playmaker on the bench.

Jimmer's stats in which he's got 20 min or more per game are all-star level numbers (and then some) for his per 36's. He's just been the victim of dysfunctional systems. Like everyone else, I do have concerns about his defense though.

This is dumb. Jimmer will be asked to do one thing - hit a three, not carry an nba team to victory. Both Jimmer, and Morrison were drafted to be franchise players not role players. I would take Jimmer over Bonner. Any organized team sport, at any level, is attributed to luck and roles as much as it is to individual skill.

The reason the Spurs might gamble on Jimmer is the fact that players like him (Re , Eddie House, Kerr, etc) sometimes take years to figure out how to get their shots off on the NBA level. Once they do, they can suddenly become useful.

All three have been fairly consistent in FGA and % based on their amount of playing time since they came into the league.
