For six years, while brilliantly disguised as the attorney general of the United States, he was actually working deep undercover, DiCaprio in The Departed-style, as the best defense lawyer Wall Street ever had.
So essentially, Holder takes a job as Attorney General for six years while Covington & Burling doesn't even move someone into his ing office. In those six years, he lets banks off of the hook for violations as egregious as HSBC laundering money for a drug cartel, then goes back to his old job after bailing out countless current and potential Covington & Burling clients.

In his six years as Attorney General, Holder expanded the war on drugs (resulting in a higher incarceration rate for black people) while bailing a bunch of white collar criminals out, but you still like him because of his skin color.

What's sad for Boutons is that the Bush Justice Department has more white collar notches on its bedpost (Enron, Arthur Andersen, Dennis Kozlowski, Worldcom) than the Obama Justice Department (nothing notable) does.

Meanwhile with Obama, the only executive who went to prison for the financial crisis was Bernie Madoff which isn't really that special since he was just your average ponzi schemer who had nothing to do with the cause of the financial crisis.
