McLiar didn't "handle" , so he's in a great position to throw at those who did.

TARP was a Repug program, from Repug Treasury Paulson and approved by the WH.

Do you really think if the Repugs were in the WH and controlled Congress in 08/09 that they would have let the financial sector collapse, all TBTF go bankrupt?
McCain likely would have tried and failed because of the establishment Republicans.

You're also revising history regarding what congress supported. TARP was a Paulson creation but he partnered with the Dems to get it passed.

    you're full of .

The Dems voted for TARP because they knew it was necessary and didn't need the Repugs.

The Repugs didn't vote or voted against TARP, since they knew it would pass w/o them, and they could tell their duped, anti-govt, anti-bank ignorant base, aka You People, that they voted against TARP.

you honestly think Elizabeth Warren knows nothing about economics and gets by on pla udes? She was a Harvard Law School Economics Professor. She devoted her life to economics, is one of the most well-respected and prominent economic minds. She was a Republican up until 1995 when that party completely lost their and became a bunch of economic suicidal nutjobs that ended up completely destroying the economy. She wasn't even a politician until 3 years ago. She knows more about economics than the entire Republican party + Reason magazine combined.

    You're a ing moron.
She's a bankruptcy lawyer. Why does that qualify her on national economic policy?

Thirdly, she's so re ed that she thinks raising the minimum wage to $25/hour immediately would have zero negative effects on the economy, /
haha, didnt realize that. At least sander's proposed minimum wage of 15 is close to to the most extreme liberal economists who propose a min wage of up to 14 dollars an hour before we see the negative effects. Though most economists agree that is way to high. 25 is ridiculous.

For one thing, she said $22/hour (though I suppose why not raise to the nearest $5 when trying to make a point?) And despite what the headlines claimed, she never actually suggested we should raise minimum wage to $22 (or $25) per hour, nor did she claim doing so would have no effect on the economy. Her exact quote:

"If we started in 1960 and we said that as productivity goes up, that is as workers are producing more, then the minimum wage is going to go up the same. And if that were the case then the minimum wage today would be about $22 an hour," she said.Warren added “So my question is…With a minimum wage of $7.25 an hour, what happened to the other $14.75? It sure didn’t go to the worker.”

Now, reasonable people can certainly disagree with Warren's numbers, but at least get what she said right first.

Couldn't have passed without Republican votes, a Republican president signed it. Sure, Dems voted too. Shared blame.

yes. TARP was Repugs program created by Repug Treasury and approved by Repug WH. Then the Congressional Repugs, no control in either chamber, voted against it, knowing it would pass w/o out them, allowing them to convince you stupid ers in their ignorant, gullibable base that they were against their own Repug program, which was totally unavoidable. Perhaps the Repug tactic is way too sophisticated for your tiny turd of a brain to grab.

As always, the Repugs wanted to OBSTRUCT TARP, but can you find in 08/09 ANY Repug alternative to TARP? Repugs would have punished their banksters paymasters for being bankrupt?

It was just like Repugs trying, and failing, to repeal ACA, but with silly, risible replacements that were never fully developed.

As always, Repugs inflame their ignorant bubba base, fabricate a boogey man for them to hate, then make a feckless show attacking the boogey man to show their base how serious Repugs are. The stupid, ignorant base falls for it every time. Trump is proving, exposing just how stupid, ignorant, hateful, anarchist, racist (southern) the Repug base is, has always been since the Southern Strategy.
