With a healthy young, #2 pick in the draft, #7 pick from the previous year, former allstar and DPoY candidate hibbert, bass, and clarkson, any decent player, even at 37 years old, and even in the tough western conference, should be able to get such a talented supporting cast into the playoffs.
If not, this will be a huge knock on Kobe's legacy.
I mean, even Kobe himself said the team should make the playoffs. It will be a failure of epic proportions (not as epic as 2013 or 2004, mind you) if the lakers miss the playoffs

then, Thunders, Clippers, Rockets, Grizzlies, Pelicans and the Mavs. (Utah in the mix for the final spot.)
Lakers are a truly terrible team that on top of being dysfunctional, is pretty bare with minimal talent with a run down and broken key player.
The reason the Lakers aren't going to make the playoffs is Kobe is a TOSB. Plain and simple.
