During his rookie season I said Kawhi was going to be the best player in the team, and now he is. He has won DPOY and FMVP as I predicted during his rookie year..While the mainstream vanilla Big 3 fans said otherwise.

But I think I underestiamted Kawhi.

In the next 1-4 years Kawhi is going to win a regular season MVP award.

He will ultimately be the 2nd best spur by his career end and he has a shot at becoming the best spur ever.

Tim Duncan first 4 seasons:

RS - 22.1 PPG / 12.0 RPG / 2.9 APG / 2.4 BPG / 0.8 SPG
PO - 23.0 PPG / 11.9 RPG / 2.9 APG / 2.6 BPG / 0.8 SPG

Kawhi Leonard first 4 seasons:

I was reading all those threads on the front page today, he was really wrong but at least he was one of the few who trusted in Kawhi, he said he would be a star, get a max contract, be better than Harrison Barnes, lead a team in points...

I was very surprised about the negative comments in those theads.

I understand Kawhi has surpassed the expectations of some fans, but they were saying his development would be similar to Blair and Hill, when he showed since his 2nd season he had a higher ceilling than them.

Others also said he was a good player, never a star, just good on defense, can't improve his offensive game, doesn't even have an offensive game...
