So exactly why do you say the HP/Compaq merger was bad? Because some RSS feed told you so?

^ dunno where you get that from, but this is what HP stock looked like while she was CEO:

That's one of the primary reasons she was fired (stock rose on the news, IIRC).

She was wildly regarded at the time as a terrible CEO.

You should read up on it more. Long term it was the right strategic decision as it expanded HP in to the enterprise market which is a huge part of their business now. Short term Walter Hewitt was stabbing her in the back at every turn.

He got it from a 2008 HuffPo article that he read... now he thinks he's an expert. Not even worth my time to respond. She was horrible and they wisely fired her ass.

And as usual you are full of . Spurtsalk peanut gallery talking out their ass. Tech guys in the biz say the HP Compaq merger strategically was the right thing to do. I will believe them over you and Boos RSS feeds. I'm not saying she didn't make mistakes but merging two huge corporations is a monumental task. Ultimately the merger was proven to be the right move.

So her political experience is getting beat twice and never having held an elected political office? Ok.
And Trump is able to insult for the benefit of angry white males with suits.
    Well isn't that special.

The Democrats salivate hoping Trump triumphs. He will get nuked.

A tech stock fell during that period? Imagine that.

From what I've read, the HP board was highly dysfunctional in those days.

Well, she did throw 30,000 people out of work, skirted sanctions to sell millions of dollars worth of equipment to Iran and lied about watching an aborted fetus film.

    What's not to like?

It underperformed most other tech stocks and the markets in general. That is largely why she was fired. Somehow the other guys were doing better.

If you know anything about the tech market, that makes zero sense. HP never recovered, and it's not all her fault. That market has been brutal. But she did go all in on a computer maker that had extremely thin profit margins (like the rest of the industry). She didn't acquire "services" companies, which is what turned out to be the future (now the present) of the industry. It was a gamble to go big and bold, and it was a terrible call.

That doesn't mean she can't be a candidate for president. But I don't think it's wise of her to bring up her tenure at HP, or compare herself to Steve Jobs... I mean, it already cost her an election.

She was a mediocre CEO, but that company had a lot of issues.

I'd like to see her debate Hillary. That would draw epic ratings.

No doubt, and the market in general was rocky as . That's why they get the big bucks.

With her likely mountains of severance, she's probably not looking too hard tbh.

If she were so great, she wouldn't need to. They would be coming to her.
