Please elaborate. And of course it's heavily biased. You think she wishes she died during an abortion?
Powerful speech. A shame it's not based in fact and heavily biased.
Please elaborate. And of course it's heavily biased. You think she wishes she died during an abortion?
How does that make her an expert on abortion policy?
having heavily edit the report absolving PP so as to criminalize planned parenthood ...
Florida’s GOP Administration Goes After Two Abortion Providers After Failed Investigation
Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s administration is moving forward with sanctioning two more abortion providers, unaffiliated with Planned Parenthood, with identical charges to those it alleged against three Planned Parenthood affiliated clinics.
The sanctions come in the wake of revelations that the administration edited a state agency press release about the results of an investigation into Planned Parenthood, and the resignation soon thereafter of the agency’s top communications official.
No evidence was found this summer that fetal tissue was being sold illegally in Florida after the Scott administration’s investigation into Planned Parenthood facilities across Florida.
The AHCA issued a press release on August 5 that an investigation had allegedly discovered three Planned Parenthood clinics were performing second-trimester abortions and the agency had ordered the health centers to stop providing them after ascertaining they didn’t have the proper licenses.
Top officials working in Scott’s office rewrote the agency’s press release and deleted any mention that Planned Parenthood had been cleared by the investigation of “mishandling of fetal remains.”
Emails between the governor’s office and AHCA, obtained by Politico through a public records request, reportedly show that the agency had prepared a press release stating that “there is no evidence of the mishandling of fetal remains at any of the 16 clinics we investigated across the state.

Marco Rubio Says You Can Use Parts From Dead Babies, But Only When God Kills ‘Em
"There are cases where a child is miscarried or some other natural end to a pregnancy, and in those cases, if there’s something that can be salvaged from it, that could help someone else, no different than organ donation, or unfortunately someone who’s young and healthy dies in a car accident and — I’ve had a relative who died an untimely death, and his organs were harvested and helped save people and provide organs for them."

maybe the entire PP sting was a tactic to get rid of Boner if he didn't get hard enough to shutdown govt if PP wasn't defunded.
Boner going flaccid and leaving govt at end of October.
I'd say she has more experience with abortion than the vast majority of people as she survived an abortion.
The only interesting thing left about this story is what happens to CMP (the producer of the videos) in court, and how deep a hole the GOP presidential candidates dig for themselves.
It's already established by numerous fact checkers that the "fetus" footage in the video that Carly Fiorina misrepresented during the debate was stock video interspersed with some comments being made by a woman who apparently witnessed this. Also the "sale" of tissue was nothing more than reimbursement of expenses. Every state that has investigated PP so far has found nothing illegal.
CMP has tried to plead the fifth, but the judge disallowed this on the grounds that CMP is an organization and not a person. If the GOP candidates ignore all this and continue to talk up this issue to secure the fringe vote, it will likely come back to haunt them in the general
"haunt them in the general"
not with their Christian Taliban base, the pro-birth (but anti-life) crowd, to whom the Repugs are pandering with the PP defunding, which will be on their main campaign issues, and Congressional priorities, right up to Nov '16.
Good to know expertise can be drawn upon one's experiences at birth. I guess I'll go write a book on childbirth methods, because I was born once.
Anti-Choicers Embarrassed By Planned Parenthood Hearing, Call It ‘GOP Freak Show’
The hearing today started with a tearful speech by Chairman Jason Chaffetz, in which he appeared to blame his mother’s death on Planned Parenthood. Chaffetz argued that federal money granted to Planned Parenthood should be spent on cancer research instead.
When Richards began to testify, she was repeatedly interrupted by Chaffetz and other Republican men on the committee. Here’s a short clip from the Chaffetz Q&A:
Richards, as to be expected, dismissed the hearing as another “baseless attack on reproductive health care.”
But, even among Planned Parenthood’s fiercest critics, the hearing was not received well. Pro-life conservatives blasted the spectacle on Twitter. The editors of several prominent anti-abortion publications said the questioners were unprepared, incompetent and embarrassing.
Townhall editor and Fox News pundit Guy Benson:
Federalist co-founder Sean Davis:
American Spectator digital editor Emily Zanotti:
If Zanotti is looking for a detailed investigation of the controversy, one was produced yesterday by the Attorney General of Missouri.
After reviewing 3,500 pages of do entation and conducting in person interviews, the attorney general found “no evidence that [Planned Parenthood] has engaged in unlawful disposal of fetal organs or tissue.”

Tearful Jason Chaffetz opens Planned Parenthood hearings by suggesting the organization killed his parents
Utah Representative Jason Chaffetz opened the House’s Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s hoax-inspired hearings into Planned Parenthood by tearfully implying that the organization is responsible for the deaths of his parents, both of whom suc bed to cancer.
Chaffetz — who was on “Fox & Friends” earlier that morning sounding very confused about the evidentiary value of the videos behind the hearings — began by noting that his wife works for a plastic surgeon who treats women who have had mastectomies. He lamented, and not for the last time, that Planned Parenthood doesn’t perform mammograms, though he neglected to mention that like almost all gynecologists in private practice, the organization refers women to a radiological center for that particular procedure.
“Cancer in this country kills about 1,500 people a day,” Chaffetz said. “A day — and yet our federal government only spends $5 billion to fight it. If they were shooting 1,500 people a day, if there were rockets coming in, we would be fighting this with everything we’ve got.”
His point, of course, is that “we don’t spend enough on cancer,” instead wasting tax-payer dollars on Planned Parenthood. “The question before us is does this organization, does Planned Parenthood really need federal subsidy? Does it need federal dollars?”

Missouri Finds Planned Parenthood Didn’t Mishandle Fetal Tissue

The GOP's Great Mammogram Farce Of 2015
Over and over during the farce that was supposed to be a hearing on Planned Parenthood, Republican representatives attacked Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards because her organization does not provide mammograms as part of its core set of services. (They do sometimes pair with organizations for programs that offer them to low-income women.) Over and over again, the fact that Planned Parenthood doesn’t offer mammograms was held out as some kind of proof that the organization doesn’t provide women’s health care. Apparently, Republicans are under the impression that women are Barbie dolls, with big breasts and nothing between our legs but a flat surface.
This obsession with mammograms belies the real agenda here, which has nothing to do with “fetal body parts” or even abortion, but with delegitimizing health care that exists so that people, particularly women, can have healthy and safe sex lives. The implication was clear: Mammograms are real health care, and all those other services—contraception, STI testing and treatment, Pap smears—are not. After all, virgins can get breast cancer, but you aren’t going to get the clap or an unintended pregnancy if you don’t have sex.
Republicans are smart and know they can’t just come right out and denounce the use of health care services in order to have recreational sex, because recreational sex is a nearly universal behavior. Ninety-nine percent of women who have sex have used contraception. Ninety-five percent of Americans had premarital sex.
So the -shaming is being done sideways, by focusing heavily on non-sexual health care — or prenatal care — while pointedly ignoring the health care people centered around having sex. The omission speaks volumes.

Whatever you think of Planned Parenthood, this is a terrible and dishonest chart
https://twitter.com/Bound4LIFE/statu...rc=twsrc%5Etfw
This is not how charts work! Since 935,573 is a larger number than 327,653, the pink line should be above the red line. Here's what you get if you chart the numbers accurately:
The chart is misleading in another way, too. It's true that Planned Parenthood performed 290,000 abortions and 2 million cancer-related services in 2006. But the organization also provided more than 3 million treatments for sexually transmitted diseases and nearly 4 million contraceptive services that year. By 2013, the number of STD treatments had gone up to 4.5 million, while the number of contraceptive services declined modestly to 3.6 million:

So ignore her life's work which as revolved around abortion? Sound logic you have there.

Second report finding no manipulation of the CMP videos. Yet Planned Parenthood still uses this as their #1 excuse.

What is her life's work other than speaking out against abortion? I see from her website she's really into Jesus and making some fairly terrible music. But it seems like she just speaks out against abortion, again based on her heavily biased experience with it. She's not a doctor nor a scientist from what I can tell and therefore her testimony should be taken for what it is, an anecdote.
As far as I know there have been 0 states to find that PP profited from selling fetal tissues. If these videos were the proof of misconduct, where is the corroboration?
She has to be a doctor or scientist to be an expert on abortion policy? My replies were toward "How does that make her an expert on abortion policy?"
So what is her expertise then? Why can't you just answer the question?
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/..._1020250.html#
Just an answer to Planned Parenthoods "independent" analysis LOL. And all your neutral articles you post.
Holy , the Republicans totally embarrassed themselves in that hearing today. It's stunning how badly they performed given how much time they had to prepare and how much they wanted this.
Preferably, yes, unless you know of some other means of gathering expertise beyond how she was born.
they don't care about competence, governing, solutions, progress. They're all nothing but rabble-rousing clowns ing up govt.
PP has nothing to do with enabling/protecting/enriching BigCorp and 1%, at which the Repugs are excellent. Trashing PP is pure pandering politics to rouse the rabble.
Harassing PP with LYING videos, shutting down the govt are CAMPAIGN events, not governing events.
