They "won" a playoff game last year after winning 7 games.. one would think that would qualify to help my post.

Also, lets not act like a good running game and defense isn't the recipe for success in the NFL..
cardinals with lindley though... and at home. it wasnt really a convincing performance. cards were undefeated with palmer and started melting down once he got hurt

This game is basically a cripplefight. Chargers will find a way to eke out a win since we just have to go 9-7 every year.

Did I miss when Kellen Winslow Sr., Shannon Sharpe, Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates stopped existing? , technically, Ditka and Mackey were the ones who changed the way TE was played.

well i didn't say he was the best, but i don't remember other TE playing all over the place, including as a running back and as a deep threat..

We need a true # 1 like cooper. Allen Robinson is a possession receiver. Not really excited about Julius tbh

also I'm not really sure how drafting a nutbag as a TE is the same as drafting one as a QB who on top of being dumb, is also bad.

He's not on their level career wise, but do you not agree that Hernandez, when healthy and not murdering people, was as good a pass catcher as any other TE?

let it be, I'm a huge homer when it comes to the 2011 pats offense, imo the best in history. Too bad that team had pretty much the worst D too..

He was good, but claiming he revolutionized the position is just a homer take.

both the two TE offense that combined for something like 24td and around 140yd per game and him in general being bad at blocking but being almost untacklable were pretty special and paved the way for players like jordan reed

Hold up - you're praising Hernandez for sucking at one of the most crucial responsibilities of a tight end, and using it as evidence that he revolutionized the position? This is a No Lyfe got take.

in a way, you could say it yes.. In the past, TE that weren't very big and questionable as blockers, were automatically cut out. of course there were some exceptions.. now drafters first check if he can receive and only after that, if he can block too. Before it was the other way around. He just showed how unpredictable an offense with two TE can be, if both have great hands and work for yards after catch.. I'm not sucking him because he was bad at blocking, I'm just saying, his performances shifted the way TE were seen. And you can see it today, the pure blocking TE is very rare and scheme specific.. like arians still uses it..
