I'd be pretty surprised if Boban gets playing time in serious games, this year IMO..he looked really slow, even against a 35-year old Birdman..

I know the Spurs don't have an alternative big, but still, can't imagine him playing against serious teams..

Manu didn't close against the Clippers last playoffs (at least on Game 7), so I'm not sure that's a given, tbh... plus I thought Gino's defense has been above average, tbh... at least much better than Tony... probably the 3rd best perimeter defender we had last season...

That doesn't make it good tbh..

I think it really depends what Pop is looking for... if he's looking to apply D, Danny will probably play... if he's looking for playmaking, then Manu will probably get called.

I could see Boban getting time against the Clips -- at least to let Pop see how that might work.

Boban is a tough crafty Euro vet. He might wreak havoc on those with big bodies and weak minds like DJ and Griff.

I guess I'm watching a different game from those here saying the bigs are all slow? LMA doesn't look slow. He looked the same the last 2 seasons in Portland, except he's not taking possessions off like he used to there. And he is moving his feet methodically, so that he stays in a good position.

And Boban while slow was more mobile than expected. And Tony has played decent defense. It was West getting burned in the first half.

Agreed, hope it's mostly Danny though. Manu will definitely be needed, but DG needs to play. The team is better with him on the court on both ends.

I'm ok with TP. The mindset seems good, he "looks" healthy (not explosive, but healthy and fluid) and is pushing the ball. He definitely hasn't been great or anything, but he's keeping things moving and pushing when he can. Hopefully his jumper is on this year and hopefully he can still break defenses down off the dribble when needed.
