As for this game, the Pats' secondary is going to prevent another SB unless a mid-season trade happens. McCourty has gone back to being the overrated, mediocre safety he was before he had Revis to make him look good, while all the corners sans Malcolm Butler ing suck. Kinda sucks since this is the best offense they've had since '07 and their pass rush is no longer the liability it has been for close to a decade.

At least BB/Kraft can pat themselves on the back for playing hardball with Revis!

Devin McCourty - DB - Patriots


NFL.com's Albert Breer reports Patriots FS Devin McCourty (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 17.


Third-round rookie Duron Harmon will start in McCourty's place. McCourty is in the midst of a fine season, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 1 safety heading into Week 17. Whether it's a Wild Card or Divisional Round game, McCourty should be ready for the Patriots' first playoff game.
