He's a career 42% 3-point shooter on 5 attempts per game in the playoffs..huge sample size, too..
Against scrub teams and his layups sucks, great now you are going to tell me he is the king of the off the dribble plays and layups and his hesitation move that ends up in a horrible pass when he feels pressure or he drives to the basket with some horrible layup.
So far in what 4 games? have you been watching the entire last season? series vs Clips?
He's a career 42% 3-point shooter on 5 attempts per game in the playoffs..huge sample size, too..
is anyone actually complaining about Verde here?
Id say his offense is crucial for winning any game.
Yeah thats a nice number but it didnt work out in 2013 and 2015.
Besides he takes a lot more than 5 attemps during playoffs.
I think he is too important for the team thats why I hate his streaks.
He wasn't shooting well in preseason either, except for the Rockets game where Harden was on him....
He will turn it up. He's bound to get back to being hot. Luckily we have pulled out these wins without his shooting TBH
Wasn't really implying that he would tbh, but it would help the team if he does thus "hope".
His limitations and awkwardness on offense are more than liability, it create very big overall team weak spot, should at least try cover up some and help the team by becoming more dirty and trash talker, cause he has some softness also in his defense... The team have to much liability with helf/one side/old players like Parker, Green, Patty, Manu, etc, they not going anywhere without another addition...
His 3PT%s the last four seasons: 41.8/ 41.5/ 42.9/ 43.6. I'm not worried at all.
I enjoy these moments when LDN is cold from 3... you know it means that a stretch of 5 games going 20/30 from 3 is coming up, tbh
The good thing about players who can play defense is they can contribute when their shot is falling.
Green is still contributing.
Green is still contributing, that said he has to shot at least 35% from the arc. If not teams will just sag off him and then what he contributes on one end takes away on the other.
I am sorry but itīs just the way the game is played, if he canīt turn around his shooting he will become a liability.
No team will sag off a shooter like Green, even when he's in a slump. Like already mentioned his gravity is off the charts, so he's still contributing offensively even by just standing there and doing all. His shot will come, it might be triggered by some idiot coach who'd decide to sag off![]()
You also thought the Spurs were too soft to win the le in 2014 and would get killed by OKC and Miami, to be fair..
Let's hope as the offense gets more in sync we will see 2-3 of his 3pts more consistently.
When the Spurs bury teams using Danny's and Patty's 3tp shooting, that only means a better record and more rest for the old people.
And seriously watching those guys drain shot after shot is just too satisfying.
I really don't know. I got 2 theories. 1) He's Pop's illegitimate son; or 2) His obsession with sandwiches has led him to create the Pop's Penis Special Sammich.
That is really the only thing that has bothered me about Danny's slump, that the games have been very close all the way to the end, and the vets have had to log a lot of minutes. If he had his shot going, that meant less minutes for the vets. All in all though, he's bound to get hot at some point.
As long as he gets this sh!t out of his system before May/June, all is good.
There are not a lot of posters who still don't understand Danny's impact for the Spurs anymore... the few who continue with the
but he can't dribble
he can't drive
his defense is overrated
are among top worst ST posters tbh
That, or that idiot coach suceeds and then other get into DGīs head.
danny green is a max player - said everyone on here last year, except me
I'll take Danny with consistent D and inconsistent shot over Belli with inconsistent shot and no D whatsoever any day.
You also wanted to bench Kawhi, Green and Splitter in the 2014 playoffs..you literally repeated it the entire playoff run..
Stinks, it looks gassed.
