You're splitting hairs and I am saying that as long as the Bible, Quran, Gita, and all the rest are hailed as the word of god this cycle of violent religious fanatics will continue to exist. You going to try and split that hair too? Your special picking and choosing in the book exempts you?
It's explicit in the texts. If you take Leviticus and much of what Paul says in the new testament you can do some heinous without any other provocation. Same goes for the shia where they parse it through their justice system. Violent retribution is prescribed often and the burden is spread amongst all believers for justice to be served.
