I should rephrase by saying Duncan was always better than Kobe but it wasn't acknowledge by the mainstream media and casual fans but now both parties widely acknowledge it. Like I said before the war is now over the Lakers are in ruins. This is equivalent to the end of the Cold War way back in '91 where the Spurs are the US and the Lakers are Russia. Russia dissolved into a hole and is still not on the level it once was as a world power and the same can be said about the Lakers as a league power.
