Matt Flynn or Tarvaris Jackson could've started the 2013-14 playoff and the Seahawks would still be champs.
..in terms of peak performance, Brees and Rodgers (2009-2011)>>>Brady and Manning in any year
Matt Flynn or Tarvaris Jackson could've started the 2013-14 playoff and the Seahawks would still be champs.
We were all rooting for the Patriots (except Raider fans) in their SB against the Rams
That's a pretty common belief. IMO it's more unpopular to state that Namath does belong in the HOF.
Struggle Wilson would be bagging groceries right now if he was drafted by any other team. He was gifted a stacked roster that was about to hit its stride, had no real compe ion for the starting job, and has never had to shoulder the responsibilities of a franchise QB.
That's the truth. I know I did. Didn't like that Rams team.
Once upon a time....
The AFL can play with the NFL.
Blacks can play QB.
The Raiders to move to LA. (which they did)
Joe Montana being let go.
The Bengals uniforms.
Niners bringing in the over the hill O.J.Simpson and Bob Hayes.
Dallas Texan RB Abner Haynes winning the toss in an OT game and saying....we'll kick. Back when the first score won.
Barry Sanders retiring when he did.
Emmitt Smith being the all time leading rusher.
The Seahawks moving from the AFC to the NFC.
No NFL teams in LA.
Cowboys drafting Olympic sprinter Carl Lewis.
Atlanta and New Orleans being in the NFL West.
Mike Ditka giving up all his draft picks for Ricky Williams.
Mike Ditka not giving Walter Payton a chance to score, going with The Frig instead.
The Rams trading nine players to the Chicago Cardinals for Olympic sprinter/RB Ollie Matson. He proved to be well worth it, a HOFer.
Joe Namath signing with the AFL instead of the NFL. And you cannot have a pro football HOF without him in it. If ya look at Gale Sayers and Lynn Swann stats, they don't belong either, sometimes it goes beyond that. These three a good example.
The World Football League.
Heisman winners Billy Cannon/Mike Garrett signing with the AFL over the NFL.
The Houston Oilers becoming the Tennessee ans.
The Colts moving out of Baltimore.
The Raiders treating Marcus Allen like .
Cowboys bringing in Herschel Walker when they had Tony Dorsett.
The Washington Redskins trading*** for Cleveland Browns RB Bobby Mitc , to become their first black player. They made a HOF receiver out of him. He along with Jim Brown the original thunder & lightning duo, Mitc a Big10 sprint champ at Illinois. Averaged over 5 yards a carry.
***Why the Browns traded for Ernie Davis when they had Jim Brown..?????

they also drafted Bruce Irving, Bobby Wagner, Jeremy Lane that year and KJ Wright, Richard Sherman, Byron Maxwell, Malcolm Smith the year before. And that's just defenders...
FINALLY.....got one right, yep, that is the unpopular opinion by those who know the game.
No, it's the unpopular opinion among bandwagoners and star ers who don't have a clue what they're watching. They just hear the media repeat Wilson's name 24/7 and assume he must be really good.
I think it's more about the fact he's done things never seen before actually and the fact he has won more games in 4 seasons than any other QB. Ya do know he just set another NFL record ....right? And, he did make another pro bowl.
Most starts
Most reg season wins
Most playoff wins
Hghest QB rating
Playoffs in every season
three pro bowls in four seasons
what about that don't you understand?
Dude, Bart Starr/Terry Bradshaw played on teams wih 8 other HOFers on them, so what? So unless a QB plays on a sucky team, hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

and a HOFer
Mike Tomlin is a bad coach who gets propped up for being the NFL's affirmative action poster child
The New York Jets are the 2nd best team in the AFC
Brady and Manning are TWICE as good as Brees and Rodgers.
They're always in play for homefield advantage while the other two frauds barely make the playoffs.
The AZ Cardinals are winning it all this year.
How is that unpopular? They're the most trendy pick right now.
Ya might wanna look at what Vegas thinks about that.
They won't though. Change your team pic to them. You're off the bandwagon.
- Joe Namath does belong in the HOF
- Emmitt Smith was a better all-around football player and more valuable to his team than Barry Sanders.
- Joe Thomas is an excellent player but overrated, more the latter-day Mike Kenn than the latter-day Anthony Munoz.
- Cam Newton and Russell Wilson are better than people on this forum give them credit for.
- There is no urgent reason for the NFL to have a team in Los Angeles.
If anything there's a reason for the NFL to keep itself out of Los Angeles. The NFL gets to hold all the smaller markets hostage with the "either subsidize the out of a new arena or your team is moving to LA" scenario.
nah, not unless Panthers lose to Bucs (unlikely) and Az beats Seattle (likely).
