Agreed completely, that's what I found funny about it.
I can't wait to see the media blame everyone other than Marvin Lewis while maintaining that he's a "class act!".
Refs are gots tbh. Shazier drills bernard helmet to helmet and no call, but they have no problem deciding the game with those 2 calls against bengals. Most ref aided team in league history

You never know when that kind of field condition/rain that if the snap was fumbled, they could still recover, line up, e it and try again on 3rd down coming. It was the correct call.
I've already heard 3 commentators put it on Lewis
On the conventional kickoff you'd want to get it as far away from your goal as you can at default. Also a short, or ground kick gives the receiving team a chance at the lateral offense. A deep kick only permits them to pass it long to the sides, that is much easier to combat.
Yep, once the game ended, Burr & Pac were/are off the hook. Lewis is the easy clean and he'll soldier, A. he knows he ain't really at fault. B. see A.
Time was called due to penalties I believe. So I'm thinking it would have been difficult to use up time with a e. Also, If you get a bad snap you would might have time for a quick e and retry.
Im thinkin...
Steelers had zero timeouts of course.
Ultimately the buck stops with the coach. Unfortunately for him, the timing of the two penalties was catastrophic.
Ok, thanks.
Would have felt safer for me to just close the game with it, but whatever.
And maybe the call on pac man was too tough but why the was he out there ing
Most entertaining game of the season.
Make no mistake...the talking heads are jumping for joy on the inside
Absolutely.
The history of Steeler wins and then knowing the temperament of various Bengals. The Steeler linemen totally baited Burfect and they got lucky it paid off. I give Tomlin credit. He took advantage of what he thought might be an undisciplined team. It started before the game and Tomlin pointed and yelled at various Bengals during the game. Especially when Tomlin got close enough when the sidelines came on the field.
Yep. They couldn't even contain themselves as it was happening live, but, they'll straighten up and fly right now,,,they'll even rehabilitate Burr & Pac,,,with deferment and equalizing the blame with the Steelers.
Do you believe that is who he was pointing to? I was wondering myself, but, of course the announcers never addressed it and it was constant and obvious, they just wouldn't reverse the camera, or, comment.
Once the Bengals got the lead I'm sitting Berfect on the bench so he can't us up.
The guy has got to be borderline re ed.
Steelers>Pats
Tomlin pointed at least 3 times I saw. I don't know which players he pointed at. The all pro lineman for the Steelers pancaked Burfect twice and laid on him twice and let Burfect basically turn him over and get on top of him. There is no question in my mind the Steelers knew the hotheads and baited them. A lot of talking as well. They even got to the Cincy RB that fumbled.
I bet the Steeler coaches had a list of who to antagonize. The game got totally random and it payed off. Good planning. Especially helpful after Ben R went down.
I don't foresee anyone putting any blame on the Steelers. Not with the images of cheering fans throwing bottles at a carted off Big Ben. The NFL knows how their bread gets buttered.
Not too mention taking out a marquee receiver.
Best part of it all was Boomer Esiason going off on the Bungles straight after the game calling the team 'dreck' (TV safe word for trash).
This.
The guy was a time bomb and he blew at the Burfect moment for the Steelers.
