Carried on much longer and I'd think you were boppin' your baloney over there.
Thank you for your admission son. I still gotta take off -15 points for deflecting though![]()
Firstly,Secondly, Horry was 6'10" and easily 240lbs around that time vs. Nash who about 6' and 175lbs dripping wet?
Nash couldn't have anticipated a hip check. A trap on the sideline with no place to go? Yes. Hip check? No.
Turnt the series and my stomach at the same damn time!![]()
...and y'all didn't ever repeat as champs as I recall. You old coot.Anywho:
Kwame
Mihm
Smush
Luke
Brian Cook
VladRad
Odumb
66 year old Aaron McKie
Sasha V
These "NBA players" played MAJOR minutes all year. Kobe still drug them to the 2nd season. Worst.Supportingcast.EVER![]()
What a surprise: as soon as the cancer hangs up his #24 Phil wants to come back to LA.
Just asking for consistency. That's all. Also 2000.
Odom was great. Don't make it out like he's some kind of scrub.
And it's a question of whether those players sucked because they get to play with a black hole to shoots 30 times a game.
Please. The tlong's were up 15 in the 4th. Game 7. Like the Queens in 2002, they thought the game was 36 minutes. Unfortunately for you farmers, they both choked.![]()
Odumb was "great" as a 3rd wheel or 6th man. He was inconsistent at best as 2nd fiddle. One game he'd give us 22/11/7. The next 5 games he'd be like 8/9/4 with dumbass decisions like this:
People think Chloe's big bush drove him crazy but I disagree tbh.
With the roster we had, Kobe's 35.4ppg were neededPERIOD.
Back on topic. Wouldn't want Phil back as coach. Not sure the triangle works in the small ball era.
If he comes back, we better get Luke Walton as coach. Phil can replace Fred![]()
Phil will probably join the lakers the day after Lebron and Durant sign there
he's done this all his life![]()
Thank Christ.
Choked on 20+ FTA in the 4th quarter (that's hilarious, no team has that, and the Lakers have THREE such games, ALL elimination games, over a span of 11 years). Incredible.
He was fine with the Clippers and the Heat. Those teams finished with similar records as the Lakers with Odom as the 1st or 2nd option (along with Elton Brand and Eddie Jones). So I guess Kobe is as good as Brand and Jones at their peaks.
Holy amb, seriously?!
Are you still beating this drum?
Are you REALLY saying Eddie Jones and Kobe are equals?
You won me over to the Duncan side of the argument why are you bothering with dudes that will NEVER ever buy what you are selling? Cant be to just get your opinion thoughts in the internet... because you have much better examples/arguments etc. On Kobe's shortcomings.
You have freedom of speech and can spend your free time however you want ...but just curious on what the goal is with a post like this?
Ask LkrFan. He wants to blame Odom and the others on Kobe doing horribly (from a team success perspective for a supposed top 15 players) in his prime, while using team success (repeats) as some sort of gauge for greatness, and dismissing missing the playoffs on the failure of teammates.
Odom's teams put up similar records with Elton Brand and Eddie Jones as his running mate, perhaps he can answer why.
We didn't miss the playoffs either. Didn't go into the lottery three consecutive years. Didn't take a storied franchise and drag it down to obscurity. Tim put the Spurs on the NBA map. Without him we're light every ring. You'd still have 11 rings without Kobe, more than 2x what the Spurs have right now.
Good job supporting an underdog, pelon.
And Shaq went to Miami and rang while Kobe was missing the playoffs. Wade > Kobe
I was afraid laughing at laker fans was going to lose its appeal as they slipped into Philly-level irrelevance. This is golden.
Kobe: 5
Wade:......I know it ain't as much as Kobe.
Shaq 4
Pau 2
Kobe 12
Boiled down:::they were selling your .
Then you should have chimed in when they were selling it. But you didn't.
