If Bonner is done, this is the kind of pickup the Spurs would make.
Memo: Don't pick up players that are unplayable against OKC/GSW.

If you're planning on playing your 15th man against OKC/GSW, you've already given up on the season.

Kevin Martin on the other hand has resigned to being a vet bench player & isn't a low energy player like Joe Johnson who is basically the Boris Diaw of shooting guards.

IMO, Joe Cool is more talented & still has more left in the tank but K-Mart is a better fit.
    . Good one!

^^ I don't want Johnson, hate his game, but if he gets bought out, somebody will give him PT in the playoffs..

Finley asking for a trade was a legendary moment on ST, IIRC..most of the posters here wanted him benched and disliked him, at that point, and then he had the audacity to ask for a trade..Pop was playing him over Bowen, too(Bowen didn't have much left, either, but still)..

Not a fan of Martin, I don't think his style of play would mesh well with the bench unit..he's never been great in an off-ball role..
K-Mart can kind of play the Barbosa role since he is very good at slashing/cutting & hitting corner 3s. He played well for OKC until he was asked to be the secondary scorer after Westbrook got injured.

Novak can't even be on the floor for a millisecond (remember Marco getting torched) unlike Bonner who started against OKC.

Johnson reportedly will seek a multi-year deal from the Nets in the offseason.

guess he doesn't want a ring.

Hickson is trash, worse than Blair.

i don't see anybody on the buyout list that i would sign. there's a few that i would have 3 or 4 years ago, but not now.

let's roll with what we got.

    McCallum is dispensable.

Verajao should be a serviceable Splitter like player.
Martin would a decent pickup to add more 3 point fire power.
Novak only if Bonner is done.

I haven't heard that the Hawks were gonna dump him post-deadline.

There is no way they are going to waive him when the Cavs were offering a 1st rd pick to take him.

I hadn't heard that about the Cavs, but I just couldn't see Atlanta dumping him.

Thunder and Spurs, especially Thunder, sounding like favorites to land Anderson Varejao, but field wide open. No shortage of suitors.

Andy is good player. I know he is never healthy, but for the MIN replacing Bonner he could eventually help.
