OKC is what they were in 2014 except they lost Reggie Jackson, Thabo & Fisher.
Dion Butters ain't much better than Caron Butler & Kanters is a net negative, which makes him less valuable than Perkins who actually played solid post defense.![]()

I've been saying Durant is the Black Dirk for a while now.
MVPee Dirk shot 2-13 for 8pts when the Duds closed 'em out in 2007.![]()

I can understand someone liking his playing style and his all out aggression, but it's pretty hard to defend his three point shooting... he has been extremely mediocre (at best) from three his entire career, and this season he took more threes than ever before, hitting a dismal 29.6% of them... doesn't this point to a deficiency is his decision making ability, which should, as he ages, be getting better & not worse?
The Heat were slightly better than average but were worse post All-Star break. The Clippers missed out on the 3 seed by one game. They were 23rd in bench production that year.
It's also hard to make a statistical argument without stats to back it up. OKC's ranked 17th in bench production (not ideal) but that isn't even the worst among this year's elite (Cleveland - 19th). So, like I said, saying they have the worst supporting cast in recent history is probably a slight exaggeration after a poor performance.

Westbrook maybe low-IQ, but this is just a terribly coached team even with suspect depth..how do you only have 10 assists with gravity of players like Durant/Russ?![]()
I guess the important question is does this point to two different coaches not coaching, or does it point to Westbrook not being very coachable?
Westbrook's assists are deceiving, tbh. Casuals think he's a great passer but it's the oppositeHe kills ball movement. The most ball dominant PG in the history of this league, and it ain't close.
of course casual fans like westbrook, they see monkeyball and think he's the best. i'm sure he's fun to watch for people who are fascinated by shiny objects or jingling keys
Actually Westbrook in Spurs.. will be a major -ass.
You guys will be complaining that Kawhi never get the ball..
He is the epitome of me- hero-ball type of player..
It's funny because he actually passed to Durantula in the final play, and Durant choked the layup...
Chuckbrook is a ball hog he will NEVER win with Durant
That's a good question. How old is he 26? Maybe he'll grow up while he's still in his physical prime.
That’s their MO. That’s just how Westbrook and Durant are gonna play unless they have a real system. People (Presti) think you can stack talent and it just works. You need a coach to put players in a system, in a position where they can thrive and help them. And that coach has to get the players to buy in. It ain’t easy. Which is why coaching isn’t overrated as casual fans may think.
TBH, I was in the “Scotty Brooks is the Worst” clan but I gotta admit that there’s been a dropoff with Donovan, at least in my view. Billy Donovan is in over his head and it shows when in crunch time. OKC still don’t know what to do, they still living in this entropy like basketball blunt taking the most awful shots.
And not to mention that they’re one of the most predictable teams out there. It seems that their only plays are:
- Westbrook’s drive to the lane and shoot.
- Westbrook’s drive to the lane for a wild pass.
- Durant’s jumper.
- Durant’s drive to the lane.
- Waiters' 19ft fade-away jumper.
- Westbrook’s desperate “I’ll do whatever I want” jumper over 3 defenders (specially reserved for clutch/crunch time.)
This is OKC's last hurrah I don't see anyone sticking around
that's if hes coachable
The enigma of WB. The most athletic BB I have witness, yet one of the dumbest. If it wasn't for his extraordinary athleticism, he would be flipping burgers.
Shows you that High BB IQ (Pippen, Duncan, Bird, Gasol) wins you championships over extremely gifted athletic players with marginal to low IQs.
That Westbrook turnver with seconds left in the game was oh so predictable![]()
To be fair, Westbrook is usually identified as the Alpha and Durant the Beta... quite normal he receives more than Durant.
For the rest Durant had yes two very bad games in a row (much worst than West)
This.
And this!
Still the same excuses for this low-IQ player.
OKC will never win anything as long as Russell Westbrook is their PG. Dumbest superstar ever.
Who is giving Durant a pass? Who? He's getting ripped apart by the media for this.
Yeah, you're right, Westbrook always gets the blame.
Pretty terrible take, HH. I know you're in here trying to defend your boy but 8-22 against a team like Dallas is completely inexcusable, and if that were Parker you'd be in here with your minions excoriating him and laughing about it.
Odd that you rush to the player of another team's defense, but that's not unexpected.
Durant had his worst game ever, but that doesn't mean Westbrook was vindicated. He should be decimating a team like the Mavs, especially since he's now been branded the best player on the Thunder.
the argument Kobestans make when he refuses to pass the ball.
Didn't they apologize to him for this?
http://www.si.com/nba/point-forward/...-mr-unreliable
This is one of the most biased posts I've ever seen on this forum, tbh
If you think Durant gets anywhere near the amount of blame as Westbrook, you're delusional, bro..
Durant is one of the most media-protected superstars in recent history, only rivaled by Chris Paul..for a player that has only been to 1 Finals and has lost several series' where his team was favored, he doesn't receive anywhere near the blame as his peers have received..
You pointed out 1 example of Durant receiving criticism, and in case you don't remember, the publication that ran that picture/article got blasted by everybody and had to apologize to Durant
Blaming Westbrook when he struggles is fine, but constantly ignoring Durant's choking in big games/moments is pretty typical of people like you, tbh..he just had 1 of the worst games we've ever seen for a superstar in the playoffs, yet still didn't receive Westbrook-like scrutiny..also, let's not ignore that Westbrook was easily better than Durant in their last playoff run(2014), yet all people could focus on was Westbrook's stupid shot in game 6 vs. the Spurs(conveniently ignoring the Servant dribbling the ball off his foot and blowing the game
)
The best part of your post? Durant himself has acknowledged the ridiculous amount of blame that Westbrook receives..not just once, but many times..he even fought back tears during his MVP speech when he began to discuss the unfair/borderline-racist criticism Russ receives..
