Then there's the story of the lunch, which spread throughout the Naval Special Warfare community. Guys still tell it, almost a decade later. Tiger and a group of five or six went to a diner in La Posta. The waitress brought the check and the table went silent, according to two people there that day. Nobody said anything and neither did Tiger, and the other guys sort of looked at one another.
Finally one of the SEALs said, "Separate checks, please."
The waitress walked away.
"We are all baffled," says one SEAL, a veteran of numerous combat deployments. "We are sitting there with Tiger f---ing Woods, who probably makes more than all of us combined in a day. He's shooting our ammo, taking our time. He's a weird f---ing guy. That's weird s---. Something's wrong with you."
Not signing a prenup and losing half his to his gold digger wife ruined his career.
Not that Woods couldn't afford to pay, or even expected it. But I don't get why we should get behind those guys feeling en led to a free lunch. The ammo part I can totally understand, but that's not the part they decided to emphasize. And the fact that they're soldiers doesn't help their case at all.
Yeah...from the story, there isn't much to indicate that he should have picked up the check. I mean...it would have been a decent and cool thing to do but they shouldn't have expected it. Unless he was the one that asked them all to dinner. And it's not like they paid for the ammo.
Tiger Woods had a ruined golf career?
relatively speaking
No not really.
He was having a stellar career and then it got ed up.
That was a great read.
Golf tournaments were huge when he was playing with viewership. Nowadays we has Jason day, spieth, etc... but it will not bring in the ratings that tiger did. I don't think we will ever see a player like tiger woods again.
Either you don't know what "relatively speaking" means, or you're an idiot.
Go ahead and explain please.
Sure.
Let's compare the career of Tiger Woods to all the other pro golfers we have seen, now tell me do you think he had a ruined career?
What if he had died or retired? His career up to this point would be considered one of ther best ever, right?
Dude, do you ever do anyhing besides see who you can bother, grow up, ok?
Relatively speaking he had one of the great golf careers ever.

By April 1997 he had already won his first major, the 1997 Masters, in a record-breaking performance, winning the tournament by 12 strokes and pocketing $486,000. He first reached the number one position in the world rankings in June 1997. Through the 2000s, Woods was the dominant force in golf, spending 264 weeks from August 1999 to September 2004 and 281 weeks from June 2005 to October 2010 as World Number One.

What a ruined career, hahaha!!!!!!!!!!!
If he died or retired, then his career would have been set. His career is still going.
He ruined his career relative to what it was before all the happened.
My point is at this stage of that career if he never hit another golf ball his legend/iconic status is intact. Now it's just gravy time. To think anything can be ruined after all he's done, nay?
He ruined the last part of his career. How's that?
That's totally, completely, 100% obvious.
which I believe is the point of the thread le.
No not really. His....career....hasn't been tarnished at all, zero! Nothing is being ruined about his career.
You do understand the word, career.....right?
O.J.Simpson couldn't outrun defensive linemen at the end, Joe Namath could handly walk, both in the Hall of Fame.
Hey...send me your log in info. I have a funny idea.
Don't you have a 14 year old waiting for you to barfine?
Let me ask my wife Judy of 30 years...
Avante...hey babe.
Judy...don't even bother, it's those idiots you mess around with on the internet right?
Avante....well.
Judy...why do you do that?
Avante...it's funny.
Judy....whatever.
Sorry shes not playing along.
Dude, grow up, ok?
he was heading towards the goat career and now he's a ing scrub. I'd say that qualifies as a ruined career, tbh.
How does it erase what his career has been which is great? He's done too much, made too much $$$$, it's simply too late to say he has a ruined career. He had a fantastic career.
The rating will never be the same, but you are already seeing players as good as Woods now. It doesn't seem like it because the top 20 guys on tour elevated their games to Tiger Woods like levels. This new generation drives it longer, has more creative short games, and putt better. I actually enjoy this crop of guy more than the Tiger era, the leader boards week in week out have been fantastic.
So Judy is 44 you say?
