    It can't end like this.

I'll never forgive Pop if it ends like this.

One thing is him being stubborn and not adjusting anything, a whole other is the overall disrespect shown to Tim and Manu this series.

Both legendary winners who's sacrifices and leadership have defined what Spurs winning culture and success is all about.

Meanwhile in this series we're more like what the Thunder are known for and quite frankly playing like losers with minimal impact from Tim and Manu.

It doesn't get more disrespectful than that and Pop needs to make things right.

    Time is running out quickly.

I still can't fathom that this really could be Tim and Manu's final game

I'm rolling with a very tattered #21 jersey that I bought in '03.

    Same here.

Then at the same time for the first time ever it is hitting me that seeing Tim and Manu, for the first time both of them, whether you think it's them being neglected or just too old, impacting playoff games so minimal like we're seeing now, that is something more negative than even retirement and I definitely thought that I'd never want them to retire. But what we're seeing now hurts.

But then what is most frustrating is that I STILL think they can do a lot more than this. Their advanced numbers once again are excellent this season, Manu's continues to be in the playoffs and we've seen them play at a high level many times this season. Way better than players who retire from the NBA.

Players this good still, they don't retire!

Yet it feels like Pop more than anyone is the one very busy retiring them before our very eyes.

What I wanted more than anything from this game was Pop making a major go-small adjustment to kick-start our offense that is so bad right now it rates among the worst in the league, however if this really is the end I want Pop to give his greatest winners Tim and Manu a real chance to impact this ing series and turn things around.

These legendary warriors should not die seelping in their beds but die out on the battlefield fighting trying to win the war.

I will wear my Duncan camo jersey tomorrow morning (Kiev time) to check the winning boxscore. I dont believe we can lose 3 times in a row to this OKC team.

Perhaps no team in the history of the NBA has ever shown more heart and fight and resolve than the 2013 Spurs did, rallying from their soul-crushing Game 6 Finals loss in Miami to play an epic Finals Game 7 on the road against a defending champion and taking that game down to the last minute. Many NBA teams -- even those with players with championship pedigrees -- would have rolled over after a debacle like Game 6. Those Spurs nutted up, played their asses off for 48 minutes, and gave themselves a chance to win against all odds.

That's been the thing with the Duncan/Ginobili/Parker Spurs for most of this run: when they get into bad spots, they may not always extricate themselves from those cir stances, but they do always play hard and seemingly give themselves at least a chance. Game 5 in Detroit in 2005. Games 5 and 6 (and even Game 7) against Dallas in 2006. Games 6 and 7 against New Orleans in 2008. Game 7 in Miami in 2013. Game 6 in OKC in 2014. The les these guys have won are great, but the real character of this group down through the years has tended to shine brightest when the chips were down (even if they didn't always win those games).

Play hard. Play with belief. Play with purpose.

I would add OKC/Spurs Game 6 in 2012. Spurs did manage an 18 point lead in that game

I hate to use First Take (as these guys are idiots) but they refer to something another writer says about LeBron refusing to acknowledge Kawhi. Not sure if there's anything to it but here is the link.
