I wouldn't mind Ariza or Beverley.
Jake Fischer: The Houston Rockets have called teams gauging interest in Trevor Ariza, Patrick Beverley and K.J. McDaniels, according to a league source.
I wouldn't mind Ariza or Beverley.
you just compared a 2 guard dribbling skills with a center. talk about he ultimate apples to oranges comparison!
If houston doesn't want them, what makes you think the Spurs would want them?
I can see that side of things. But if he sucks next season, they might not be able to get the same in return. But I'd only want him traded now if 1) they need to make room for Durant or 2) they've identified a draft pick that can have a quick impact.
Score another one for Zika.
They need to release a statement for that?![]()
Zipser is a guy I thought the Spurs would be interested in a few months ago. Thought he would be gone by the time we pick though.
He played pretty well at the last Eurobasket tournament but I don't think that drafting another SF makes much sense given the bigger needs at other positions. Especially with Bertans and maybe even Hanga coming over.
This needs to be done so OKC can pitch long term plan to KD. They can't afford to have KD, Westbrook, Ibaka and Adams on the market next year. I've been saying it all along "one more year" isn't gonna get KD to sign on the dotted line..

Who knows how long that dude is going to last being 34 with bad knees. Might as well get something for him while you can.
That's surprising I think.
This screams Durant leaving tbh.
who's 34?
29 and Kyle Anderson..
Not at all. It screams that they see a future with Kanter/Adams and don't want to spend money on Ibaka as well esp after a down year.
They know they need cheap talent to build that roster and trading a older player like Ibaka for a lottery pick is the way.
Yeah it does. It also screams that OKC are cheap bas s and will continue to dilute their roster.
Even though Ibaka seems to make every shot he takes when he plays the Spurs, I don't think he's "all that." And apparently neither does OKC. Still, surprising to see this.
And all that is well and good, but how does trading Ibaka affect their pitch to Durant?
No he isn't.. .he is 27
