    Spurs meeting just ended

@daldridgetnt sources say the meeting was intense, at one point durant was crying as kawhi confronted him about his previous "system player" comment. Everyone grew closer and another life lesson was learned
    Creative. Good morning!

I asked before, but does anyone know why Durant wants to play with Horford? Are they friends? Did they play together when they were younger?

    That pretty much covers it.

Durant was probably thinking: "If LMA gets to 1000 "You knows" I'm ending this thing flat out."
Getting up from his seat when the meeting ended, Durant shook Pop's hand and said,"The Spurs are a truly model franchise. I am honored to have met with you. If you get a starting PG, get in touch."

That Nate Jones got talking about the Spurs again on twitter

    Salty Blazers fan

Can't wait to beat him out on Gasol too...
That guy LOVES to on the Spurs, so annoying. It's very obvious he's a Blazer fan that got salty about LMA. Since then, he's tried to flip the script to how the Spurs suck so often.

How long was the spurs meeting with aldridge last year?
They ended up meeting with him twice if I am not mistaken. Anyways, they needed to get back to Pau today and close him.

Why? I would have sold Durant on the point that he can be more of a playmaker. That's an area of his game where he can take it up a notch. He's not going to have a ball dominant PG in his way here.

If the Spurs start to trade players, you know some is going down like last year.

He already said he's not about the money yet, people still want to make it about the money. Spurs only leverage play I suppose.
Lol, except for a few Spurs players, its always about the $$.

I think the Spurs have the best core with the cheapest contracts locked in for a few years Vs all the other teams he's looking at. GSW would have to gut their depth to bring him in. I think he really should consider the Spurs if he wants to win and have a decent team built around him. Spurs are lucky they locked in Kawhi and LMA at the salaries they got them for.
All they would have to do is trade a very tradeable asset in Bogut and renounce Barnes. Not so bad after all.

Then give me your times of how long the meeting was. I'm sure you were there and have your sources. Oh wait, none of us on this board have any way to know besides what people like David Aldridge say.
I have no clue but I was going by the times you posted. Those were pretty specific. When I checked DA's twitter account, it said two hours ago since the meeting started yet, the meeting had already been concluded for 20 minutes. Twitter stops giving the minutes after an hour has concluded. Needless to say, it was much shorter than I would have hoped if the goal was to woo one of the three top players in the game to join your team.

More of a playmaker? He's almost as bad of a turnover machine as Curry. Don't you remember his passes sailing out of bounds...multiple times against multiple teams?

True, but when your dealing with hundreds of millions, a few million doesn't seem like such a big deal to leave on the table.

There's no reason he can't take it up another level. He's had Westbrook on his team who has the ball a lot. He hasn't had as much practice at it as he could have had. He can be at least as good as Lebron as a playmaker with his height to be able to see over defenders.

Who is concerned? I assume Diaw, but that's an odd way to phrase it.

If it's for Durant or Gasol, seems like Bobo's chances of being here next year are slim, unless the Spurs whiff on both of those guys.

Just guessing that the addition of Horford just makes the Celtics look more attractive for Durant. They have solid role players so adding Horford and then Himself is quite significant.

I'd assume Diaw should be the only one concerned - I certainly am not. He lost me when he came into camp out of shape twice in a row following the 2014 season. It's his own fault if he gets traded.
