It's not about money but the offer has to be near max anyways. He's still making the decision based on other things. The money is a prerequisite.
no way

OKC is the favorite followed by...God only knows. Just because Broussard reported that he was "blown away" and the meeting lasted four hours does not make the Clips second in line.
I wouldn't want to lose Boris if it meant bringing in Gasol tbh. I'm fine with trading away Bobo but not just to acquire Pau.
I thought I read somewhere that he wanted to play with him and that the Thunder were trying to get him? Maybe they know each other from when they were younger or played against each other when they were younger, or I am just wrong.
No. Durant showed his playmaking against Igua at the end of those series closing games.
How much is Gasol looking for?
Probably a load of cash after seeing what a lot of mediocre players are getting.
Westbrook does not allow Durant to blossom
, our offseason may be drafting Murray and trading Duncan for Pau Gasol.
As the $ keeps rising he becomes less & less good option. Beginning to think best move is bring over Euro guys & rookies, & save $ for next year. Outside KD don't know that other guys significantly increase chance to win championship
That's my line of thinking. Durant has a lot of potential that he doesn't end up using because of Westbrook being on the team. He has a more all around game in him with potential to be a much better playmaker than he's currently shown.
That's not talking about his market value, just the available cash to spend for each team. The Spurs can and probably will be outbid, but the question is about overall dollars. Spurs could only offer $5M last go-round. Now they can offer almost three times that.
Is Ian still out there?
Pau Gasol for more than 1 year isn't a good plan for the Spurs.
How about a 1+1?
He should get more than Gasol.
Yea with all the contracts already signed, spurs 14 million not gonna get gasol
Lol. That got gonna turn us down again and ST is still blowing him.
Clippers meeting lasted four hours because Rivers probably held KD hostage like Jordan last year.
I don't understand that reference of that tweet? Spurs can open up whatever space they want. I'm assuming he's talking without trade and just renouncing cap holds, but it's oddly phrased.
lol. Maybe he was almost literally blown away as Doc Rivers pulled out a gun and held him at gunpoint. That's why Steve Balmer was crying.
Rather have Ian Mahinmi than Gasol
Length of the meeting doesn't mean anything. Clippers was 4hrs because they're desperate..Spurs will be just fine along with the Warriors..they'd love to have KD obviously but the structure and foundation is solid enough for both franchises that not getting KD would not be the end of the world..

Willie Reed seems an intriguing option as well.
